Hi all what grit is the red or orange block, it says 100/180 I think. I find I get a good finish when using this although looking now it seems a bit coarse. Does anyone use the blue blocks? what is the difference?

How do all you geeks finish your enhancments to get a great shine. I have always finished with my hot shot 180 and then my koala 240 then flip over and drop of solar oil and buff with my other side koala, then use my cnd glossing block. Then switched to using white block instead of my koala as cheaper to buy, but found them a bit coarse so switched to the orange block which I find great but getting bit confused as it has diff grits, and wandering if it would be better to use orange then blue then glossing block as it seems a big jump to go from a 240 grit straight to glossing block, and feel maybe if I go 180, 240, 300, 400 then gloss, or is this just a waste off time.

Also has anyone heared of magnetic nail products I am after a new brush and in this months scratch was a magnetic brush holder I looked on there website and they have great range off brushes but unsure how good quality they are. I would love cnd to do a oval or flat brush for L&P as I cant work with round brush and have tried to train my old brush but unfortuntley keeps on pinging back to being round lol.

Sorry for long post geeks, your helpp input or tips would be great. Thanks xxx

Never heard of Magnetic products sorry. I no longer buff the nail, the quickest way for me for a super glossy nail in no time is to file the enhancement into shape with a grit no finer than a 150, remove dust with cleanse and then use NSI Glaze n Go, a gel topcoat, and cure for 2 minutes. No tacky layer to remove either, fantastic. Can be used on top of acrylics & gels. Nail polish can be applied and when removed has the beautiful shine still left on the nail. You must remember the gel topcoat must be buffed off before infills or acrylic soak off. x

Sorry fogot to mention which brush I use - for acrylics NSI Precision Brush #8 round brush, it is great for smile lines, returns to a perfect point everytime. Have a feeling it is on offer at the moment. Well worth the money, you'll not be disappointed. As for gel brushes, I have several. Do not make the mistake of buying cheap brushes, it is so much easier to do enhancements/smile lines using a good quality brush. I have never used any of my old brushes ever since getting the Precision from NSI x

I bought the blue blocks once and found them to be just too fine for me plus imho i dont think the coloured blocks look nice.
I use 180 to shape (either hot shot or sally's, whichever ever i can get hold of that month) 240 kanga or black velvet to refine cuticle line and free edge, then the white block from sally's (think its a 100 grit but only course on first use, i tend to squish it a little before first use then they soften up when washed) Then i finish to a high shine with the CND glossing block ... wouldn't use anything else but this block, i always have plenty of stock! :D

The brush i use is the CND Ultra sculptor, took me a little while to get used to and i have trained it to go in a paddle shape. Couldn't be without it now although i could do with a new one has its loosing it hairs ;) hth xx
