Hi Guys

As from my last post I am beginning to pay more attention to my hands and nails and going to start wearing nail polish (when it arrives in the post lol)

I have a question though, as I have left my hands alone for a long time except to put clear nail varnish on, for the last month or so I have been using hand cream and cuticle oil as my cuticles and surrounding skin is hard.
I have pushed back my cuticles but its sticking up and looks a mess , I have Cuticle Remover by Hive but havent used it yet. Do I need a cuticle knife to use with this to remove them? Or can I scrape the cuticle off?

Thanks

Have you done any training yet (nails that is)?

No, I did a beauty therapy course but not nails. But I have a good understanding of what I should be doing. But like I said I;ve neglected my nails for a long time and now starting to look after them.

Why dont you book yourself into a manicure at your local salon. They can help with the cuticles and give you an incentive to carry on looking after your nails

xx

Also look in the sticky thread about the Doug Schoon videos and be sure to watch the one about cuticle!!

I have to agree. Book yourself in for a manicure, they will sort it for you and you will be pleased with the result.

Did your Beauty course cover nails at all? If not then you could always book yourself onto one and add it to your services, I only say this as you could do a lot of harm to the tissue surrounding your nails if you are trying to remove it yourself. HTH

Absolutely! That's why your cuticles are there, for protection! I wouldn't want to start messing with them, not knowing what i was doing. xxx
