Hi

Was looking for some feedback from those of you who use the roller wax system - do you change the roller head for every client? I just got the hive system yesterday - absolutely fantastic so pleased with it - I so far have used the wax and spat and of course always change the spat for different clients / and different areas but didn't know what to do with this system as it I could see it getting expensive but don't want to slack on hygiene at the same time. What do you do?

Hi I always use a fresh head (not always new) for each client and a fresh one on each area. But only replace the heads with new ones every couple of months (you can tell when they need throwing away - go discolored).

They can be cleaned. I pop the rollers out (just flick up from one side) and then soak them in wax equipment cleaner for half an hour or so then wipe them clean.
I then wash them in hot soapy water and when dry give a spritz of surgical spirit (not too much ) your ready to go then.
It can work out really expensive if you were to dispose of the heads on each client & area. This works for me anyway hope it does for you.

I spray them with wax equipment cleaner after every client whilst they are still hot & still attached to the wax cartridge. Then wipe over with a clean paper wax strip turning the roller head as you go until all stickiness gone.

You can then unscrew from cartridge & also pop them in hot soapy water after that.

The trick is to do it while the wax is still hot, comes off much easier than if you let them get gungey!

HTHs xx

aftereach use i plop them into a jar of equipment cleaner, then when i need them (they get used often, i wouldnt leave them standing for too long) i rinse in soapy water and dry off. sometimes i will use wax cleaner, then pop them into some barbicide, then rinse and leave to dry on the radiator. just make sure they are thoroughly dry when you use them!!!

Thanks very much - was reading your replies and thinking 'how silly am i' lol didn't even occurr to me they could be cleaned - I think its opening pressure going to my head. yes your right would be way to expensive to use new one each time. thanks for the brill advice
