selling retail on your website

I would like to sell a few products on my site, all relating to my business of course, exfoliaters, moistuisers etc. is there anything i should know. Am I ok to buy things wholesale and sell them on to make a profit through my website?
i would sell them using a paypal account or cheques or deliver them if regular clients.

It might be an idea to check with your supplier as to the terms of your contract with them. For instance, I am allowed to sell SwissDermyl on my website as part of the salon service, but not just as a products only process.
