Shadez Spray Tan Compressor

Hi All,

Advise please!! I was really excited when my shadez compressor turned up today, just got my bf to spray me and as we began it felt like the solution was spattering out not going on in a smooth spray. it had done this on the kitchen roll test too. we tried all 3 settings but the spray was still splattering out. I then tried the same gun on my other compressor and it worked fine with a smooth mist?!? can anyone help advise me on what the problem might be and the best settings to use.??

Do a search on here and you will see that many geeks have had problems with this machine hth

Hi I have used the shadea machine for just over a year and had no problems so far.. Contact rod the supplier if you think its faulty as the spray isn't coming out in fine mist.. hth xx

Put it on medium. Then turn the setting on the gun so that no spray is coming out. Then keep turning it up bit by bit testing the spray until you get an even mist, your problem seems to be the amount of solution coming through the gun. :hug: These machines are excellent.

do you think it could be the gold nut behind the nozzle needs adjucting do you think?

im still really struggling with this compressor and have unfortunately not managed to contact shadez. is there anyone close to cheshire who has the same machine that would perhaps take a look for me?

im really losing money as i cant do tans and im getting really frustrated. I have thoroughly cleaned the gun / needle and even tried another shadwz gun i have and its still the same problem

Hi,
I have a Shadez spray tan compressor and so does my work partner and we've been really happy with them. When I first got mine, I had a problem with overspray and solution running everywhere, but I put the machine on low setting and turned spray dial down so none was coming out. I turned the spray dial gradually until the spray was even and I've had no problems since. You could also fiddle with the silver dial on the nozzle for horizontal and vertical spray patterns and give it a good spray through with water to clean it....? Also make sure the lid is screwed on super tight. I have been really happy with mine and use it several times a week and more in the summer months. Hope this helps, but also the guy at Shadez was very helpful when I bought a faulty tent from him.

Just want to say a massive thank you to Joe90 (julie) who has made me see it is not just me losing my marbles!! the spray was still coming out spotty. I am going to try get this looked at by Shadez or just buy a mini mist!! Thanks again for all the help on this and Julie for giving up her time tonight

Yep we tried everything and there is defo something wrong with both guns as far as I can see. Even spoke to an ex distributor of the super pig and everything she suggested made no difference either.

Best send both guns back vicki and let them deal with it.

Let me know when you get them back and if you have any more issues, you know where I am.

well thanks to Shadez i now have a replacement machine but am still struggling with the settings maybe tanning isnt for me i really enjoyed it when i started but i just cant get it to spray smoothly and i dont want to risk it on a client. it is a lot better than the last time i had the problems so i have just got my bf to spray me and will see what it comes out like - wish me luck

Maybe an experienced geek near you can set it to the right level for you. You need to turn it up hardly at all from the off setting. Try it on couch roll until you get the right level. :hug:
