Hiya

Just wondered if anyone else has this problem with minx on toes.

Just to explain I am new to minx so probably my application needs refining but just wanted to check anyway.

I am applying minx on the toes, doing dry prep, making sure I heat the minx first, I don't touch with my fingers, just end of scissors and make sure I press down firmly down and smooth out. I then (as someone advised on here) use clippers for the end of the toes.

All seems fine, my problem starts when I wear closed shoes. It's only my big toe but I find it crinkes up when in the shoe just at the tip of the nail.

So my question is - has anyone else had this happen or do I need to work on my application? :suprised:

Any tips etc most welcome.....

Hope you wont take offence but it may be that your shoe on that foot is to tight, which is causing the crinkling ???

No offence - good thought....

however, did my friends toes at the weekend and they were fine till she wore her closed shoes today -although she did wear them the other day and they were fine but then wore them again today and it happended. At first i thought it might be my shoes as they are heals too so thought with toe pointing downwards it could just be just that - but then thought everyone else must wear closed high heeled shoes with their minx on and I haven't heard of this happening to anyone else

back to the application then I think.....

this happend also to me. only i asked her to change shoes as soon as she could ! trainers.when she came .... her big toes came of also,,, but my daughter hads them for 2 weeks, puts her feet into riding boots etc and no problems at all

MMMM odd one ! I wear my minx in everything, shoes, trainers, heels, flip flops lol and I generally find if my application on my own toes has not been great then if i wear my trainers they flatten out lovely ................

Are you double heating ???? ie prep , minx on under heat, feet left to cool down before clipping, then heating again to remove any imperfections ????

Also do you dehydrate the nails before applying minx using nail fresh ?????????????

The problem is the shoes rubbing too hard on either a toenail that is too long or because the shoes don't fit properly.

mine & my friends both did this it only hanppens in summer hot feet thinks it funks with the minx because its heat activated & shoes are perhaps ill fitting too so both the heat and shoes do it I would say xx

When I attended the Minx training we were advised to tell clients to wear socks when wearing shoes as the friction/moist conditions will just rub the minx away. Hope this helps.
