Hi,

I have a client coming in on Tuesday that has various skin complaintsand I wondered if anyone can advise me on a tailor made treatment to really help her skin.

She has broken capilleries and senstivity on her cheeks and nose, although she has breakouts (little bumps underneath her skin) and congestion along her jawline. The congestion is bothering her and I would like to help her with that I don't know what is this best way round it. She has been getting red vein treatment with diathermy.

The resources I have available are - Dermalogica skincare, galvanic machine, non-surgical facelift, crystal clear microdermabrasion and oxygen therapy.

Please advise!

xx

If she has sensitive skin, I would always treat that first. I would suspect that if the skin's sensitive & with broken capillaries then the integrity of her acid mantle is probably compromised, which would make the skin more easily aggressed. Congestion & break-outs are quite common with sensitive skins of this type.

I personally would avoid anything like microdermabrasion, harsh deep cleansers, abrasive exfoliants, aha's etc and concentrate on repairing/maintaining the acid mantle.
