What do you find to be the best way to soothe hands that are sore after shampooing/doing pedicures/manicures all day?

Gloves in a bottle = available from superdrug (online only though) to protect
Elizabeth Arden 8 hour cream to heal. Put on at night with cotton gloves to protect the sheets
