I'm looking to do some training and become a brow specialist, but cant decide whether to just do a microblading course or the full SPMU. Can anyone advise?
It's a big expense. I'm also torn between Karen Betts Pro and Finishing Touches Academies. Does anyone have any experience of either of these training schools?

Hi, I've just signed up for the PHI microblading course. It's a big expense but the quality of their work after is so good! A friend of mine went to a PHI trained microblader and the treatment they had was so much better than the person I went to for mine. So many people are doing it now that I think a quality service will make you stand out over others x

Whoever you choose, make sure they're accredited and disregard the 2 or 3 day courses instantly. If you want to do this to a high standard, It's not possible to learn all you need without at least a weeks tuition and good support afterwards for your case studies. Go to the school's facebook page and check out their Facebook reviews and recommendations.. it's not so easy to fake facebook reviews as you can usually see if they are real people. I trained with Dermagraph and I absolutely loved it, microblading is not as easy as I thought but well worth the effort. I still intend to do a machine course at some stage but everyone round here wants microbladed brows and after a while there's good income from the top ups.

Hello,
Has anyone heard of 3D Brows Academy? It is a microblading training school based in Utah. I really love the work they do. They have an online course they have you take first then a 5 day hands on training. I will look into PHI as well. However an esthetician I know told me her co-worker has been in the PHI training and she can't seem to get certified. This girl keeps having to pay 200 a month to get done. I think it has been over 6 months. I'm not sure what is going on there. Possibly my friend has been misinformed.

I personally would go with just being a brow specialist to begin with. After you've build a good clientele and you have started gaining positive business cash flow, you can invest in other SPMU training areas, or even eye lashes as a complementary service. This way you don't have to worry as much about your start up cost, and start your brow journey on a fairly less stressful way, improving everything else that follows. And because microblading business, when done right, has high profit margin, you will be able to pay for other courses soon enough.

Hope this helped a little.
Good luck!
