Hi, I was just wondering how many of you wore face masks when spray tanning high number of tans, I do alot of tan partys having one in after the other and finding tan running out my nose lol iv now bought a face mask to wear and last nite I tried it at a party I done 22 tans but felt a bit like darth Vadar!lol when I took mask off I had tan still underneath the mask? What masks do people use or do they just put up with breathing tan in xx

Tan running out of your nose isn't funny. It's a real health concern.
The room I use for spray tanning is ventilated via a fan in the wall.
I also don't do one client after the other in an enclosed area. If I did, I'd be wearing a mask.

When doing tans off-site, my tent is mesh meaning you can't see in but air is able to fully circulate allowing the spray to get out.

If you are spraying in an enclosed area, you should be wearing a mask. And not those white, flimsy do-flackies people wore when SARS and swine flu was getting about. You can obtain spray masks from trade shops. They're inoffensive, allow you to do your job and filter out all the crud you're breathing in.

I always wear a mask when I spray tan. Apart from the health concern, I also feel more professional while wearing my mask.

i dont wear a mask, i use nose plugs.

I had a h&s man in from the council and he said although I have good ventilation I need to wear a mask and also offer my client one...it's up to them if they wear it but I need to record if they wear it on their client card
