I think I am using 2 much solution on each client and I was wondering if any1 knows how to reduce this? Also I find that sprays on their under arms go streaky and a diff colour? Is that because of sweating?

Thanks xxx

Take a moment out....sit back and think about what you are doing....believe in yourself as a therapist and that the solution you use will actually tan someone....you dont need to paint em brown...just spray them and the rest will follow.
Start by turning the output volume dial down a qtr turn each time you spray someone....aim to use 35-45 ml solution per full body spray tan application.
Trust in the liquid..which ever you use...we dont need to spray people a dark brown at the time of application like you would expect to see if creosoting a fence

Spray them and let the solution do the rest

HTH

How much solution are you using? You could try turning your gun down a bit. Overspraying can sometimes cause the tan to go a little streaky. No idea why it would go a different colour, but you should spray lighter on the under arms and if you are using too much solution, then you are probably just overspraying in general.

Like Collin says, try turning the gun down a bit and try not to worry about things, it will soon click again.

its going a diff colour because of deoderant. make sure all make up and deo are removed before tanning. :D xx

Very true if it is around the arm pit, usually goes green if deodorant is there. That only usually affects the guide colour though, not the tan itself x

my armpits dont tan at all :S always thought it was cos of my deodarant!! (why i dont take my deo off i dont know)

Tonilee did a fab tutorial about the couch roll test, if you do a search on here you should find it, basicly you turn the dial on the back of the gun all the way of, then turn it on a quater tern and spray onto a piece of couch roll to test it, and you keep turning a quater tern and spraying until you get a nice even spray on one ply of the couch roll with out it going through to the second ply. I was lucky and bought mine from another geek who very kindly used a bit of white varnish to mark the gun dial so I'm always set up for the perfect tan, I use 30 to 35 mil depending on the size of the client. I do one coat and not had anyone moan that it was too light or patchy and I don't get over spray either.

the arm pits are bound to get runny if your using that much solution...like between the breasts the arm pits because of the concave shape trap more of the airborne solution so they could turn out darker or run.
The dial at the back of the gun...normally a knurled nut kind of thing...turn it clockwise half a turn(if your using 80ml) and see what that brings...on the arm pits try not actually spray tanning this area...let general over spray do this area...again like between the breasts.
HTH

It is most likely just overspray. The area under the arms is quite thin as is the area on the breast bone and they tend to show up if you are overspraying. It is just a case of playing with the gun until you get it right
I don't know which gun you are using, but on mine there is a dial which restricts the trigger from pulling right back, just turn it so it restricts the trigger a little more, therefore cutting back on the flow. I hope that makes sense lol xx

Lol. Aw thanks so much for your help I will def try that. I hve bought the hvpl 5008 so which ever gun comes with that. Yea I think I have put it 2 tight. Would I have to make my distance smaller if I'm spraying less? Wouldn't I be sprayin more in the air? Lol if you kno what I mean

The HV5008 gun can eject to much over spray if your not to careful...its adjustment isn't that fine...just play with that dial...turn it clockwise(tighten...not loosen) and hold the gun about 8 inches away from the skin surface.
Good luck and good night...time for some more wine and some :zzz:

LOL...there ya go...your confidence is already on the up.....good luck with your new venture.....remember you can halve your cost of treatment simply by turning that gun down...might even be significant enough of a saving to pay for your rent

collin what is it with you and the 5008 !! it produces exactly the same spray pattern in size and particle size as the t200
The needles on both machines are tapered so with adjustment they can both either produce nil or up to 0.8mm or 0.9 mm in the case of the 5008
but only when fully opened the t200 nozzle is o.1mm smaller
but only when fully opened ? and who opens them fully when spraying
when the 5008 was developed the engineers opted for the slightly larger 0.1mm (a hairs breadth) and a faster taper on the needle
because of the needle bending/snapping ect problems of the Apollo machines (t100 t200) they were copying/improving the design of:) (we both Know it was the t200 designer improving his own design faults)
at 1.7psi which is the max these units run at and an adjustable nozzle from 0mm to fully open basic pneumatic theory tells us volume of air/aperture size must produce the same spray pattern
In my previous occupation as an electrical/mechanical engineer i had lots of experience with Pnuematics and I have a HNC in the subject LOL
As you are aware we did stock the Apollo T100 and t200 but :mad:
Because of the number of returns burned out motors bent needles miss spraying gasket problems ect ect out of 26 sold we had 8 returned one month so we decided enough was enough
The 5008 is a win win situation its British its Better made to British standards and its cheaper (for the customer) to purchase

how can you turn the gun down because every time ( i have the hv5008) i try it doenst seem to work ?!x

at the back of the gun is a black adjustment screw(density adjustment screw) turn this all the way in clockwise and then out about 1/3rd anti clockwise use a piece of white paper roll and you will see that even though the spray is very fine it is covering the area hth
