Hi Everyone I recently started using Star Nails Quattro GF21 as a finishing top coat on silk/fibreglass nails to give them a high gloss shine but found it starts to peel after a couple of days and also seems to take ages to cure, you shouldn't need to use a finishing wipe with this product but my thumbs have a sticky residue afterwards. Has anyone else had this problem?

I have used this product for years with no problems at all.

If it's not curing properly with your lamp, maybe you need to renew the bulbs?

Mine cures great in 3mins btw.

It's a new lamp i'm using. so not sure what i'm doing wrong:rolleyes:

Are you curing the thumbs separately from then fingers? and are you buffing before application?

I use this also, I think it has to be used sparingly, I found when it was aplied thickly I found it sometimed wanted to peel, hth x

you should ring united beauty (makers of star nails) and tell them, it could be out od date or a bad batch, i know that they are very good about stuff like that and will sort some thing out.

Thanks for all your replys
Yes buff before and cure thumbs seperatly but maybe I am putting it on too thick so will try using a little less!..x.x.

ive had this problem before woth the quattro rissa and it was a faulty bottle ..... also found that curing thumbs seperate is better with it too :) the glitter quattro is gorgeous if yiuve not tried it you need to !!x

I am presently wearing the glitter top coat , and am hoping it will be really popular for xmas .:)

Im pretty sure i used a wipe afterwards when i used this.

3 mins no less or it will be a dull shine. They obviously quote it to the light of Star Nails Spec.
