Hey all,

Just passed my foundation course in L & P and am starting a depilation course tomorro, it's at my local college ( did nails with young nails ) and is an evening course, was just wondering if there was anything I should escpecially take, look out for etc, my college doesnt seem to want to inform me of much more than day and time to turn up, and that I have to wear a uniform, one of the reasons I did brand training for the nails, any help or advice greatly appreciated, thanks!!

ruth xx

Well done Ruth, hope it goes well :)

Good luck. My advice would be to watch closely, rather than take notes. an hours practical training is worth a thousand hours of theory (in my humble opinion). Hope you enjoy your course and well done on passing your nails exams. xxx

thanks ladies, another ? with regards to the brand that the college will use, when doing a bit research when I was going to do my nail course, the majority felt that the product they used wasn't maybe as good as others ( hoping not to offend anyone!! ) the well known brands of nail products are quite easy to research, I have tried to do this with waxing also, but can't seem to see a leader or leaders that are the favorates???
Kim, you seem to be a fab person to maybe answer this one, what is the top brand/brands, again thanks!! xx

Well thank you.

Product is ALWAYS important....whether it's tanning, nails, skincare or waxing. I can't stress that enough.

I believe Perron Rigot wax to be the best wax ever made. If there was a better wax, I would use it. Why wouldn't I? Think about it.

You'll get loads of replies stating so snd so wax is the best, but that my personal opinion.

Going back to your training. Ask questions. I always drum into my students that they should ask themselves why they are doing something in a particular way. What are they trying to achieve. So, whether it's cleansing the area or how to hold the spatula.....ask, ask, ask.

Have fun sweetheart and learn loads. Be brilliant. xxx

Thanks Kim!!!!! will definately ask ask ask, and watch carefully, I am really looking forwards to it xxxxxxxxxxxx
