Hiya all

I know I've posted a few bits now......sorry about all the questions. From reading around the site etc I seems like you all keep getting asked about training options

However, I've checked through some of the info you've all given about training places and now I really dont know which one would be best?????

I'm leaning towards The Scottish Beauty School, Glasgow at the moment....what do people think? Its going to be a 4 hour drive to get there...but if it's going to be worth it then it must be done :)

Hope you get back to me :!:

Thanks all

Tracey

I wouldn't train in a College if I were to do it all over again. I would go for one of the big nail companies like CND, Bio Sculpture, Young nails or NSI. (I've trained with them all )

Any of those companies will train you to use their system and will have a back up service for you (something you don't get with a college).

It IS very confusing when you are a newbie to know the right course to choose, but I think if you go with any of those companies, you won't go too far wrong, especially if you are determined and work hard.

Keep doing searches on the site to get more opinions, as that is just mine:hug:

Personally I don't think you can get better then company training for the product that you are going to be working with, you learn specifically bout THAT product and its an excellent place for a beginner to get you mind turning onto how other products and systems work once you get to learn one.
I'd say give Sweet squared a call or NSI or any other company your interested in. Compare them and see what one you like best.
Good luck!

Hiya

Thanks. Think I'm going to go with NSI to start with, The Scottish Beauty School, Glasgow.

Know this will only be the beginning....lots more training along the way.

I'd recommend CND & the fingertips centre in Edinburgh. I trained at college then did the CND induction days in Edinburgh and there was no comparison, wish I had just done the CND foundation course to begin with, but like you coming from North Scotland I would have had a 4 hour drive, so thought it would be easier to go to college locally, but in hindsight it would have been more than worth the travelling. CND is a great product. Good luck with whatever you decide.

First you say you're confused and then in the next post you say you have made up your mind ... ? ... which is it?

Fingertips is much the better choice along with CND products as many have already advised you. Why not make an appointment and go along and see them and see what you will be missing ... worth a visit on such an important issue.

Hi

My posts probably do come across as 'confusing'.....thats maybe because there's so much great information, from some really nice people, that one minute I think, yes...will go with that, then more info comes along and I start having a look into that new info

All I have to do now is try and sort out a way to fund the course I would like to choose.....then the journey begins

Thanks again for all your continued support

While you save up for the corse of your choice. Sit down, take a step back and really think about what you are doing.
.You are starting a whole new career.
.You are going into a profession that requires not only one corse but refresher courses and continuous learning that never stops.
.You are going to have to save up allot of money to do these thins.
.It will become a part of you everyday life (you'll be checking out everyone's nails ).

And thats just the beginning :)

Now to do this you'll want the best education for YOU. It may not be CND, It may not be NSI, ect. My advice is that you sit down and decide what YOU would like to excel at, if pink and whites be your thing or nail art go for the company that you can make the products work for you. Not only in training but after in your career as well.

Good luck deciding :D
