Hey Geeks,
Can anyone tell me what this is? The black line is also one one of her toes. The split nail is all the way through the layers and is painful when she catches it. I cover it with silk and Shellac it but I'm worried I might not be doing the split any good?

has she seen her GP about this?. a doc is the only one who can give a diagnosis . she should run it by him .

She should go and see her GP... xxx

I would actually suggest a Dermatologist or Podiatrist ... you won't be harming the split by mending it but I doubt the repair will help the split to come together .. you never know, it might, because clients often make things worse by playing, picking or catching theses things. With some time covered and protected, it may mend. This is a health issue and should be seen as soon as.
