Hi ladies
I'm taking over a beauty room in new year and the previous therapist used suntana (which I use anyway) and at tropez. However I'm not a massive fan if at tropez since it's been so commercialised and in all the shops.
Do you geeks think that fresh indulgence could replace the st tropez option? I'm not sure many customers would have heard of it. Just I find it the most amazing product but have a feeling the previous therapist. Hose at tropez due to brand awareness x

Brand awareness is great, I get many customers booking with me as I use Fake Bake.

Until I came on here I hadn't heard of fresh indulgence... Although I've seen a lot of geeks write good reports.

I hadn't heard of Nouvatan either but tried it & really liked it.

I think the 'big' brands, St tropez, Fake Bake, Xen tan & Sienna are the ones consumers have heard of.

I personally don't rate Suntana as a product, the customer service, price etc are all great... But the product which is the most important in a clients eyes isn't a patch on the more expensive ones...

Xx

Hi Charlene!

I'll try to be as unbiased as possible in reply to this.

You're right that St Tropez has massive brand awareness, and that was probably why the previous owner used them. While I feel that the name "St Tropez" is well known and has meaning to a lot of people, I don't think it's anything that really well-laid out and well marketed products cannot overcome. Let's be honest: the St Tropez branding is pretty stunning. You see it once and it sticks in your mind because it's very striking and elegant (in my opinion). I think that's one of the main reasons why a person might walk into a salon and want that spray tan.

However, the good news is that we're actually going through a massive rebrand here at Fresh Indulgence, which is set to be complete by March, and I wonder if it might help you a lot on this score. The main purpose of all of this (and by the time it's complete, it'll have been four and a half years in the making!) is to make your job easier.

If you email me (catherine at freshindulgence dot com), I can send you over a couple of sneak previews and you can let me know what you think. It might help in your decision on which way to go from here :)

I love fresh indulgence! Nobody uses it in my area, most use suntana. People love my tan & have switched from others :) x

I use fresh indulgence and used to use st tropez. I agree that the st tropez looks amazing but fresh indulgence tan beats it hands down, my clients are not bothered as long as the tan looks good, lasts well and fades easily. My clients all love fresh indulgence especially the electric tan :wink2:

Is it only the electric tan or all there tans that spray on warmer, are they golden or brown shade? Am thinking of trying them myself.x

Fresh indulgence have the electric (fast) tan as well as golden tan range (called Revive) or a mocha range (called Carribean indulgence). My clients rave about the fade off and the colour plus percentage variations in each mean there is something to suit everyone.
