Hi Geeks,

For some reason the last few times I have waxed my own legs I have been getting ingrown hairs alot! I have to keep popping the little spots and taking the hairs out individually but I am noticing this is leaving marks on my legs so I am wondering what is the VERU BEST exfoliator to help with this??

Tks for help

Hi Lisa,
are you making sure you are pulling wax strip off at correct angel?because it is always a bit trickier doing it on yourself and sometimes makes sense to have a fellow therapist do the trickier areas for you.As you probably know if removal isn't carried out correctly this can cause ingrowns(one of the many reasons anyway, lol)

Failing this try INGROWN GO,we retailed a lot of it in my last salon and it does really work, though people that are very prone to ingrown hairs still continued getting the odd one.

Try all the usual tricks,ie regular exfoliating and moisturising, some people say wearing too tight undewear or trousers seems to cause them so that may be another thing to look at.HTH a little.

I love Tu El Peeling Cream which is on my website, and I also love Folisan which you can buy from SmartBuy Catalogue. Apart from exfoliation, moisturising can also really help a lot.

How does moisturising help?

How does moisturising help?

It keeps the skin supple which allows the fine soft hairs come through. If the skin is all dry after waxing the hairs find it hard to come through and can result in them turning round and growing inwards. Obviously, a light exfoliation is the key too to help rid the surface of the skin of the newly formed dead skin cells that cover the open hair folicles.

So after any waxing, light exfoliation, followed by moisturising makes for a happier result.

I sell PFB Vanish in my salon which is also a fabulous product for after waxing and shaving.
