This is a good thread I only know schwarzkopf been about 9 years since I have worked with anything else ,so this is how it go's for them
.1 cendre
.2 ash
.3 matt
.4 beige
.5 gold
.6 auburn
.7 copper
.8 red
.9 violent

Wella system is:-

1- ash (grey)
2- green
3- gold
4- red
5- mohogany
6- violet
7- brunette
8- blue
9- I can't remember the correct name for this one but Im pretty sure this one is a violety purply tone too

Tigi copyright tones are

.0 neutral
.1 blue
.2 violet
.3 gold
.4 copper
.5 mahogany
.6 red
.8 calibrated ash
.88 green ash

I got told diffrent now of our tutor for wella he said

0 natural
1 ash
2 cool ash
3 honey gold
4 red gold
5 purple
6 violet
7 brunette
8 pearl ash
9 soft ash

Now is this correct because i have revised these like i dont know what x

Sorry wrote wrong can tell im tired just modified it but that is what he gave us to revise and said thats wellas tones so im confuesed now :/

9 is pearl not 8, college might want you to know them as that but a lot of us was told the other way from wella best way is to look at the charts as this thread shows there is loads of different systems and names for the same colour

Ok yea just double checked they have 8 as pearl and ok yea but i was trying to learn wella as this is what we get tested on

Anyone got the redken ones? I'm copying and pasting these onto an A4 sheet to keep in the salon. I'll post it once I've got Redken on too. :wink2:

Redken is:

NN=extra cover neutral equates to 00 majirel
N= neutral
GB= gold beige equates to .31 majirel
G= gold equates to .3 maj
C= copper equates to .4 maj
CG= copper gold, .34 maj
M= mahogany, .6 maj (I think from memory!!)
R= red , .5 maj
B= blue, .2 maj
V=violet, .1 maj
T= titanium (no majirel equivalent, possibly a .21 may come close)
G= green, .7 majirel
