You know that moment, when you are just in the middle of applying your mascara...and you have a hand jerk...or sneeze....and you have a great big mascara smudge on your lovely made up face.

So how is the best way to get it off without ruining your foundation/powder.

I do this all the time !

I get a damp ear bud and just gently wipe it off and then recover that small area with powder. It never shows.

Would be interested to know what everyone else does :)

If you have used a liquid type foundation let the mascara smudge dry and then apply a little of your foundation onto a cotton bud and then wipe this over the area where you have smudged. The liquid from the foundation should lift the smudge away fairly easily and not ruin the foundation underneath.

If you use a mineral type foundation then a dampened cotton bud to remove the smudge and then a small brush to re-apply some of the mineral foundation should be fine.

You can tell I have done this many times

Same here.

Cotton bud with a little bit of solar oil and bobs your uncle.

Some great tips to bear in mind the next time I do it.
I usually end up making it worse so go for smudging the other one!

Right, this one is courtesy of Tyra Banks, yes we are mates!!!
Leave it for as long as you can, to dry completley, then just flick it off, it dries like mud does, so comes off easily when completely dry.
Once youve flicked it off, a quick brush of bronzer/blusher or rouge (lol) and hey presto!

It does work btw, Im forever having unexplainable hand jerks!

:)I wear mineral foundation but always keep some cheap liquid foundation to hand for mascara smudges, it doesn't leave a big "gap" like water or cleanser would.
As I am prone to "mishaps" another tip is this...curl your eyelashes and put your mascara on BEFORE any of your other makeup, then you can remove any smudges without ruining your carefully applied eyeliner :)mad: I HATE when this happens!) - then, when you've finished your makeup, carefully apply a final coat of mascara and you're done!
xx

Cotton bud.........lick one end and dab the mascara off with the point of the bud. Lick the other end and blend the foundation back in.

DON'T TRY THIS ON YOUR CLIENTS :)
YOUR HOME COULD BE REPOSSESED IF YOU DO NOT KEEP UP REPAYMENTS
