Hi,

Can anyone help me out, i am recently trained up as a nail tech and looking for an essential Nail Trainer Hand. The only place i can seem to find them is ebay but there isnt many and they arent cheap!

Please help!
Thanks :) x

The Nail Trainer isn't made by essential nails...(i don't think) its a brand of its own and often has labels applied for different distributors....ie essential nails....ect.....i could be wrong though...

I know when i did my training with Creative Nail Design i got a nail trainer with my kit.....it had the Creative logo on.....I think Sweet Squared still sell them.

Yes they are expensive but a genius piece of kit that lasts for years....you really do get you moneys worth from it....it never moans...you cant hurt it....it's always available and you can practice at 1 in the morning if you wish...

Hi there I ordered one from Essential Nails late lat Thursday night and it came on the Saturday (was due on the Monday). It was about £150 but having not seen one before I am well impressed by it as I feel that I can finally get some practice done.

People are so busy these days and I always felt I was using up peoples time and taking to long, so not eally concentrating on the job at hand (no pun intended).

I also looked into buying a 2nd hand one (OMG) but they are going for £75 or so and sometimes not with everything included that you need. I would say that if you can spend a little bit on what I presume will be your chosen future then go for it

The Nail trainer was developed by and is made by Essential Nails; it is an important and expensive piece of kit and it is worth it.

If you want a cheap alternative then buy some blue tac,. roll it into a finger shape and press your tip into it, which creates a nail and even the skin around it. Excellent for doing one perfect nail at a time.

ohhh i see....thanks Geeg, sorry guys for the wrong info.

I would still highly recommend you buy one though ;)

I got one off ebay about three weeks ago. It was a nightmare, I had to go through paypal to get my money back. I'm new so there were no instructions and I paid over £70. I have since gone to Essential nails and got one with a course and then two more courses. I am really enjoying it. The hand is great and well worth the money. I would not try and get one second hand pay the money and get a warranty!

I have been reading on here about people having problems with the No. 13 nail and tips, me too. I spoke to them yesterday and they said if there is only a small air bubble on a 13 nail, you won't get a mark against you in the assessment. I have had real problems getting the tip on without a bubble and then when I did do it, as I started to work on it, a flipping bubble appeared. I think I will try a different glue like some of you.

hi. i did buy one off ebay, i was lucky, the lady put in quite a few (actually LOADS) of extras in it. i paid £80 inc postage and it was well worth it.
expect to pay about that if you want one off ebay, its still almost half the cost of a new one and most are in very good nick.
good luck with the hunt. xxx

this isn't going to be anywhere near the quality or ease of use that the EN trainer hand is but maybe for people on a budget looking for something to practice with...
