Hi I have just found out this very evening that I will be able to complete a nail technician certificate II course via correspondence from a college at the other side of my country. I haven't been able to find anywhere whatsoever within hundreds of miles from my home that offers training. I will only need to attend the college once this year (6 hour flight) for practical assessment. I realise what a task I have on my hands learning from instructional dvd but compared to the prospect of absolutely no tutoring, this is awesome. Also tutors are only a phone call away.
I have been stumbling along on my own for so long now just waiting for this opportunity and the help I have gained from this site is totally awesome. You ladies are so talented.
I'm so excited Good things do come to those who wait

Go me .............. lol

I'm very happy for you. I hope you have allot of self discipline. If you do then I'm sure you will learn allot and of course we are always here to help you if you need it. sounds like you are determined and I'm sure that it will be a good start for you. Best of luck with it. x

:hug:gosh you must be really isolated.

i think you realise you have your work cut out learning this way, it can be a hard slog. its tricky to know if you are doing things right when there is no one to watch you.
are there any techs near by that could maybe give a little look at your work from time to time ?

we can help you on here a lot.
read as much as you can and look in the gallery and in magazines to help you visualise the type of nail you are striving for.

also use our critique section so that people can spot areas where you need to concentrate your efforts on.

i wish you all the best
