Hello I am brand new to this site and the nail business. Just finished my CND L and P course.
I had a new client booked in for a infil and she turned up with 3 nails pinged off( from another nail bar I hasten to add) so had to soak off some product and replace the 3 nails. It was touch and go if I had enough time before my next client. I couldn't send her home half done but in future what would you suggest???? It was odd carrying on someone elses work I would rather have soaked them off and started afresh!!

Hello Melons
I'm brand new to the site yesterday but I've not done a course yet. I am gonna do the CND L & P foundation course and just wanted to pick your brains...
Was it as good as everyone says? I'm sure it was, everyone raves about it on here saying its the best.
How long do you wait for a place?
Thanks for your replies in advance

ps hope its going well for you

I know how you feel huni, I often just say as they are leaving or while theyre having them done that if you could give me a quick ring before your apptment if ones are missing etc then I can be prepared.
Sometimes theres nothing you can do, e.g if they have lost a nail the night before, you bet you`ve already got an apptment after her n e ways.

It just makes you more prepared when you kno you have to keep up your pace and crack on

I would explain to each client that a normal in-fill takes X number of mins. Let them know that if they have repairs, it will take you longer to do their nails. Explain to them it's important they alert you to any 'above and beyond' in-fill work before the appt.

When you know ahead of time, you can always adjust your day accordingly. Maybe skip break, work a little faster, etc. HTH and good luck! :)

Brilliant, thanks for that information I will be forewarned next time and can make sure tey let me know in plenty of time.

Hello, I loved my course, I didn't have to wait very long for it.
I am now qualified and am trying to do as many people as possible. I am half price but slow but people don't seem to mind.
I have never experienced any other nail products so can't compare but am intrigued by Bio Sculture and Brisa, but must take it one step at a time!!!! mustn't run before I can walk

Hi Sarah
Thanks for your reply, it very exciting to have feedback !!
Yes I will have my teacers words in my head 'file with purpose'
I did crack on but worried in case it wasn't as perfect as I would ave liked but he ho
I will be better prepared for next time
Thanks again

melons, just to let you know biosculpture is fab!
I offer creative l & p for extensions and bioculpture overlays on natural nails and have to say 90% of my clients prefer biosculpture (although i do miss l & p full sets!!!)
I find, once it is mastered, biosculpture is a lot easier to do and much more satisfying. It's amazing as you see the clients nail improve! it just takes a few applications to get the perfect length and look where as i suppose with l & p you get that instantly! :)
Bioculpture and Creative is definalty the way to go!

Hi,

Where did u do this course?
I am based in London, i have qualified as a Nail Tech over a year ago, i have been practising, with my student kits. But am planning to buy new product when i go the Beauty Exhibition in Excel. Any suggestions which kind of products are good for Acrylic & Gel?

One of my friends had her nails done at a salon, and i could see the difference, as i used to do them before. I do need to invest in the right products.
