Hi there

Im a little confused, I did a acrylic overlay course and now Im confused about rebalances.
Here's my problem,,,Once the acrylic overlay has been done over white tips, now how do you rebalance them..once the natural nail grows under the tip, do you restart ie: remove and start again or use white acrylic on top ? but then what happens when the tip grows right out...this is for a client that doesn't want nno just the white tips. Oh and I can't sculpt although I am trying

Please could someone explain this to me

Thank-you

Yes you would have to replace the white tip with a white L&P to cover her natural smile line. I think its best to learn to use the white and pink powders from the start then you wont have this problem rebalancing white tips. White tips are ideal if a client only wants a set of nails for a special occasion and doesnt want to keep the enhancements after.

I see you are an Essential Nail geek. There are a few EN Geeks on here also there is a Essentail Nails group on here that you can join and find lots of info on there. Also you will learn alot about rebalancing if you were to take the Essentail Maintanace Course also the Essential Nails Scultping course you will learn your Pink & Whites. hth :)

As the natural nail grows the white tip moves further up/down the nail...at each rebalanced you will be filing the length down a little and so filing the white tip too...eventually that white tip will have been filed away resulting in a NNO....she will still have the white tip/french look as you will have been applying a white powder over the free edge area (zone 1)

If the lady still wanted the white tip look, could rebalance with the white every 3 weeks and then wait till the tip has grown out, clip off the old tip, file the free edge a bit and re-tip, so I don't have to soak everthing off?

You could do but there wouldn't be much point...she will have grown length to her nails in that time and so wouldn't need a tip...you just keep re balancing for as long as you like....my clients have been have rebalanced for over 5 years now....with no need for a new set, they are all NNO now.
