Basically

clients see my price list and book in with my as my treatments are full quality (doenst make sense does it,lol) but i don't charge 2 much for them..

I break it down for them as usually it's over email.
so for instance

Manicure £12
Brow shape £4
file & polish £8
Travel expenses....

They refuse to pay for travel and i don't know what to do, most of the time its my partner taking me to them his car does 80 to £10 so thats 40 to £5 which is around 20 for £2.50 and there usually around 9 miles which ends up being 20 by time i'm back!

They won't pay it i've had 2 clients cancel now because they don't want to pay it..what do i do?
My dad said can u not combine the price of travel into the prices of treatments
1.wouldnt know how much to etc
2.i would feel like i was loosing money giving my partner part of what i make every appointment
3.this would make my treatments higher which at the moment as im new well experienced but new as mobile my prices r the only thing bringing interest i'd say.

First of all you shouldnt be breaking down prices to your clients. Your dad is absolutely right you have to think about travel expenses, products, time etc when your constructing your price list and add it into the cost of the treatment. Thats what being mobile is all about.

If you worked in a salon and a client said why am i paying £8 for an eyebrow wax you wouldnt start telling them about your heating, electric, insurance, product cost etc etc.

In regards to pricing start as you mean to go on. If the only thing bringing in new clients is how cheap you are then of course your going to get these customers not wanting to pay for travel. Change your stratagy and bring in new clients who are willing to pay what the treatment is worth and dont ever explain cost break down to them. Thats the price of the treatment and thats it.

I agree, don't underestimate your worth. Your time and skills are important, but you have to factor in all your expenditures including time, petrol, laundering towels etc.

Its really hard to increase your prices once you start getting clients as they get used to paying a certain amount. With my massage I have a 1 hour minimum booking, they can combine treatments or share their hour with another person, but for me, by the time I've factored travel time it usually takes me 2 hours including getting to and from a client. My prices are paid by the hour, not for individual treatments, and they can have whatever they want within that hour!

yeah really you just need to put 50p on each treatment or something??

yes i agree with all of the above and would add a little extra onto treatments also i have a minimum charge as its really not worth my while to travel 5 miles for an eyebrow wax it was £12 but putting it up to £15 with anything outside of a 10 mile radius £2.50 extra for travel. its all their on my website and i can point them to it at the time of booking.

Hi hun,
I think as Mobile you really have to think about prices really hard. Yours are too cheap. I am told I am, and I charge more than you. I do a no extra charge for £15 mile radius. But any where over that I pop on £2. BUT there are exceptions, if that person books in loads of treatments at once I wont bother adding on the extra.
But you really dont need to break it down for them. You wouldn't question a price if you went to have your hair cut???
They either except your price because you do a fab treatment or go else where.
Put your prices up hun, and then go out there and sell yourself. On the internet post offices, gyms, hair dressers that dont offer beauty, friends, etc.xxx:hug:
