Hi
Ive just done my Universal Contour wrap course yesterday and today.....
Just wondering if anyone believes it actually works???

I have heard that it works really well and the salon that i have come across gives a guarantee that if the inches (3-6) dont stay off for 1 month they will re-apply it for free-pretty good guarantee to me.
How come you have done the course if you are doubting the results?
xx

I used to do this wrap when I was working in a salon but I never did a course on it :irked: Is it a necessity to have the specific training in this product...sorry if I'm appearing a thicko :irked:

oh - ps, I thought it worked a treat with the inch loss it guaranteed :green:

The second salon I ever worked in offered this, that was in 1998, and I never thought it worked that well. We were told to fake the first figures to make the guaranteed inch loss by my boss, so I refused to ever do them again & left not long after. It mainly seemed to work on compression of the tissue & a minute amount of fluid elimination. I've used other wraps that were a lot more effective than this one.

Oooooo tell me which ones please! Im looking at adding wraps and its a minefield the amount available. If you would be so kind, a pm (if more appropriate) would be much appreciated!
Thanks

I used to work in a salon that offered this and it was very popular. It was offered as a boost to clients starting calorie controlled diets and for special occasions. However one of the things that I feel is neglected with this treatment is the healing and detoxification effects rather than the inch loss (which can vary tremendously between clients).

I was put through the training course by my new employer as its a new treatment we will be offering in the salon.
UCW guarantee a 6inch loss after your first wrap and if this is not achieved, the client gets the treatment free.
However, if the client is a size 10 or below, the guarantee may be void as someone that small may not be able to lose that amount of inches.
Also, if client has stuck to aftercare advice and put inches back on, they are able to return to the salon on the 30th day after having treatment to be weighed and measured, if weight is same and inches have gone back on they get a free treatment.

The reason I wanted peoples opinions is there were 5 of us that completed the training together and Not one of use lost the 6 inches it states we would.

We have been using this wrap for 4 years now and have had some fantastic results. For instance a young lady who was getting married booked 3 wraps so her wedding dress fitted better but only needed 2 as it worked so well. The third she gave to her mum. I have nothing but good things to say about this product and think it is the best on the market.:irked:

Ah that dosent sound too good!!:irked:

Although, it is well known so surely they must be doing something right??

As I say, I only have my own experience to go on with the Universal Contour Wrap, and didn't ever have one person lose the hallowed 6 inches! Of those I've used the best two results wise have been the Frigi-Thalgo & Decleor's Perfect Legs, both of which work in a similar manner. One of my clients who had a course used it to kick-start her new diet as she had lots of fluid retention in the thighs & hips and after the course had to buy smaller trousers!

I have the UCW machine and my clients hate it although I did get great results with it. and I absolutly hate doing it. If anyone is looking for an almost new tank and bandages pm me.

I've never been taught how to cheat with the measurements and would never do this. I researched the treatment before taking it on. I had treatments myself and was mindful of how I was measured before and after the wrap.

I find that my clients appreciate the honesty that I give and they appreciate the results that they get from the universal contour wrap. I have had many girls say how impressed they are with the results of the wrap, not only with the inch loss but how good their skin feels too.

I too have done courses in other wraps, and these I will say do teach you how to cheat the measurements, and they offer no guarantee to the client. Personally I feel that if you cheat the client with regard to the measurements she will know, and therefore is unlikely to return to you for any further treatments.

I just had my first wrap today and lost 8.75 inches from all over the body.
best results were .5 from each thigh and .7 from abdimon.
If you are a smaller frame u might not loose as much. Its a lot to do with fluid retention and cellulite, compressions from the bandages and the clay help detox this. Dont shower for 12 hrs and it will keep working after you have left the salon.

Hi,

I believe in it. I used to do it and had lots of clients for the treatment. One of my clients who was size 18 (eating fast food, smoked a lot) lost 21inch in her first treatment and she loved it when she put her skinny jeans on infront of me :) she was VERY happy with the results and so was I :)

The lowest achievemnt was about 6.5inch in the first treatment and I've never cheated with the measurments.

Good luck x

I offered this treatment for over 5 years and had really great results. I would say though that it takes practice to get the best results. In your first few wraps you will find it difficult to achieve the best results. Clients vary too.

You do need training in this as the method of wrapping is really important and the tension of the bandages etc. It is also important to follow the way you are trained and not vary from the order of the bandages.

I would say it took me around 4 months to get it right but after that I often exceeded the 6 inches and had lots of regulars who absolutely loved the results.

I gave up simply because I went mobile and did carry on for a couple of years but it got too much really on a mobile basis. I wouldn't have given up otherwise though. :D
