upwards spliting nail

Hi all,

Just a quicky, on my little fingernail it keeps spliting upwards, and i dont know why. What can i do to stop it? i wear bio sculpture overlays and its ok for about a week, then splits the gel too. it just doesn't seem to grow out....what can i do? xxx

my mum has a furrow that grows on here toe nail,i do a nno on it and keep it short untill it grows up and is the same length as the rest of her nail.I buff it with a white block to smooth out the line lightly before the nno.This will never go away but it can help.hth.xxxx:hug:
