UV Gel Over French Polish on NN ??

Hi
Am still training so forgive me if this sounds dumb....
I have done a search for threads similar but I can't decide either way

I am wondering if I can apply a top coat of the UV gel i have over a french polish on Natural nails.
It is a basic brand of gel that i got from college, but i have been practising sculpts and O/Lays on tips with it etc.

If you do a search on the above you will find lots of threads regarding this. There are lots of opinions as to if this works or not all with various reasons. I personally have found this not to work as it peels or chips with gel glaze n go or other enhancement top coats (guess it boils down to "use it as it is designed for on enhancements" ) others will say this has worked for them. But very useful information never the less.

Yeah have looked on them over last day or so, it seems 50/50 I think i will just have to try and see!
