Hi I was just wondering if anyone has tried putting these vibration plates in their salon to help aid fat loss for clients. There has been a number of shops popping up throughout Essex that just specialise in the vibe plates and they always seem busy. I think you stand on them for 10 mins per session 3-4 times a week and you can drop a couple of dress sizes.

So has anyone had any success with them and are they worth hiring as I have a spare room going at my salon at the moment. Thanks x

I own a salon and use the plates as our main business with hair/beauty as add on, I think this is why it works for us.
Since we opened a year ago everyone saw the success and almost every salon in town got one, I don't believe it works as a add on to salons as there not open the same times and people are having to book, they seem to be disappearing from the salons in my area now one by one. I can recommend the company we use they are brill x

I looked into this recently as I too have some space. My friend has a flabelos machine in her salon. She says its was manic when she first got it over a year ago but it has died off since. She still has a few regs that come in and use it but its not a massive income for her these days.

There are so many machines on the market designed for people to buy and use at home now x

Oh right, so it's probably not really worth it then in my situation, as I also only have a part time receptionist and would mean the therapists would have to stop treatments to put people on them. Maybe that's a no then, thanks anyway ladies x

Not sure where you are in Essex, but when I had my salon in Romford, a shop opened several doors down just doing these. It closed within about two years. I know it was busy at first, don't know anything about their finances / lease arrangements etc, but when I went there they did say they had a couple of other shops and were trying to get a chain going.

Methinks maybe it a bit "flash in the pan" type of business - bit like fish pedicures ifywimk xxx

If these machines are so great why aren't they in gyms around the country?

I have one in my salon. They use it alongside non-invasive lipo. They are really popular to be honest and clients love them. X

We also have one in the salon we use majority with laser lipo but some clients use the power plate less embracing than going to the gym.

Only thing noisy and takes up space grrr

I think they are the "thing" of the money, people are just hearing about them around me.

I have just got one for my salon, it may not work as well as a salon dedicated to them, but I'm hoping it will bring more people through the door who may try our other services.

We are doing 15 minutes for £3.50 or unlimited use for a month for £30.

I'm excited to get promoting it and getting people talking about my salon.
