Hello geekers!!

I have just got my diploma in waxing. (This wil do until I can get with KIM!!)

Anyhoooo, on the course, we weren't given any guidelines on times. So I have no clue as to roughly how long treatments are.

Could some of you please help me by giving me the timings please?

Thanks in advance.

As a rough guide, this is how long it usually takes me;

Full Leg Wax 45 Mins
Half Leg Wax 15 Mins (Book out 30 mins initially)
Full Leg & Bikini Wax 45 Mins - 60 mins
Bikini Wax 5 Mins (Book out 15, just in case!)
UnderArm Wax 5 Mins (Book out 15)
Forearm Wax 20 Mins (Book out 30)
Eyebrows 5-15 mins
Lip / Chin 5 Mins

Obviously, if your appointment book works in 15 minutes blocks then you'll need to book more time than I've stated above.

Hope that gives you some sort of idea :) As I'm mobile, when I say "book out longer", it doesn't actually matter in my case, as I don't leave until I'm done anyway, and I keep plenty of time between people!

Times are only a guide as some clients take longer than you expect and some take less time.

Although I speed wax, I like to chat so I always allow plenty of time for this too. xxx

Thanks guys thats really useful!

as kim says some clients will take longer than others for the same procedure due to how much hair they have and how long it takes to remove it.

try not to be too chatty with your clients though as this is a business and you want to be waxing as much as you can in a day. im not saying that you can not chat just not too chatty lol.

good luck - waxing is great - i love it - its all i do day in day out !!!

as has been already said, diff clients take diff times.
I normally take about 20 mins for a full leg wax, but i have a couple of clients that take about 35 mins. Same with their bikinis, normally hollywood wax would take me about 20 mins, theirs take 30. But you will get to know who takes how long. Just make a note on their record cards to remind you. Generally the first time takes a little longer, then after that you can get it down a little as theres normally less hair.

As for 15 minute appointment books, I CANT STAND THEM!!! I print my own appointment pages in 10 minute slots!! you waste so much time with a 15 minutes slot for a 10 minute treatment!! and seeing as i do soooo many brow waxes, if i wasted 5 mins after each one i would be twiddling my thumbs half the day lol. :green:
