Hi everyone

Im after some help, Im really struggling with my bikini waxing, im fine in all other areas other then bikini, to the point where i try not to book any bikini waxes in!!!

Im using strip wax at the moment, which after reading posts on here i should probably change to hard wax but its alot to do with my confidence aswell and being that when i trained all we had to do was one small patch of hot wax to pass i definatly dont feel comfortable using it on intimate areas!!!

ive seen on here that some people do training in this, i would be really grateful for your help and suggestions.

Thank you

Hiya

I was the same as you until I started doing brazilians ten years ago and now thats all I seem to do!!

If the wax you are using is extremely sticky you will struggle. Try Hives honey wax. I find it really good for brazilians.

Cut your wax stips longways in half. Then use small strips on the area first. If your going Underneath on the thigh area then small strips are far better than big strips.

Grip the skin tight and ask your client to pull the skin also.

If I was nearer to you I would spend a day with you to build your confidence.

Do go on a brazilian course though as it will boost your confidence.

Also I bought some hot wax last night from sallys as I have never used it before and its soooooo easy! Still think it hurts as much as warm wax but then nothings pain free where waxing is concerned.

Buy a pot and heat it up and apply it like warm wax only thicker. Do legs or boyfriends back/chest first lol!! (I feel sorry for us beauticians fellas who seem to be our guinea pigs!) then when its set pull it off like normal wax minus the strip of course. Then have ago on smaller areas too.

Your confidence will come I promise you, I used to refuse any waxing and now I love it!

I can help you with bikini waxing, I do lots of it, mainly extreme waxing nowadays but I do also still have traditional bikini wax clients... I'm in Reading, probably the best part of an hour from you. PM me if you're interested.

Hi - I have always used warm wax for bikini and i wouldn't believe everything you read! I have not had a problem at all....maybe get some practice by doing a few on your friends and build up your confidence that way. Why are you particularly nervous about bikini waxing? as long as you stretch the skin well no bruising or problems should occur and always test the wax on your wrist first to make sure it is not too hot. You may do well using the creme wax for these sensitive areas too as they are designed for sensitive areas...hope this helps

thanks for all your advise, i think i seem to get nervous because a few times i have done it the wax has seem to have got stuck on the client, ive never really had any bruising but sometimes especially when going further underneath when i have tried to remove the wax it hasnt come off, the strip wont stick to it and nothing i can do can get it off, im hesitant to apply more wax on top incase that gets stuck as well

Ive check the hair growth, length, tempurature, stretched etc but the wax just seems to stay!!!

Its a sweaty area so try applying a thin layer of talc on the skin. Also you can get some wax strips that wont grip the wax. Usually if you use strips different to the brand of wax.

Personally I would try another wax. Hive and Mercia are good. Also try Oritree as thats kind to the skin!

Dont apply too much wax as the heat or cold can set the wax and either stick it to the skin or make it too hard to remove.

It it goes hard then reapply a thin layer over the wax and it should come off.

It sounds like perhaps a poor product may be knocking your confidence xxx
