Hi guys,

Am looking for some advice. I have a lady that has asked for a set of sculpts, which is fine (I usually use the reverse technique for application).

The lady has told me that she hasn't had a set of extensions on since her wedding day (About 4 years) and has asked that if she can't get used to them could i remove them for her (which is also fine).

I am just a wee bit worried that she will only do a few days before they start irritating her and she come to me for removals, which brings me onto my query.... Which route to take; Should i use primer or not? I am not familiar with 'Weekend Nails' and do really know what that involves.

I have already advised her to keep them fairly short as she has a 1yr old child too.

Should i advise her on a set of weekend nails for her to test out? What exactly is the process of weekend nails? agghhh, so many questions.

She is booked with me tomorrow evening so any help asap wold be fab!

Thanks for taking the time to help

Regards

:D

Have you ever seen "Prescription Nails"? They are like those press on nails that you buy in the drug store, but ten times better. They are customized for c curve, arch and shape. They have their own application system that allows them to last until they are taken off with acetone. I can't think of it now, but you can buy a sample kit for $15 that has 60 nails in it to try out. If I find it, I will post it later.

I'm not quite clear as to why you are approaching this appointment in such a negative way and assuming that the client is not going to like the nails you do and want them removed??

I wouldn't offer something you have never done before and don't know anything much about if I were you. I would do as she asked you in the best way you know how.

If you assume they will irritate her then make them short and neat model-type nails .. the last thing I would do is make the nails overly long or an unnatural length for her .. let her grow up with the nails as THEY grow and if she starts to pick or finds them too long then shorten them to what will become apparent is the practical length for her.
