I can tell you what it is but I've never done it this way. When using L&P, instead of doing all your whites first, then your pinks...you do zones 2 & 3 in pink, then do the whites in zone 1.

Once I get better at the original way, I may try this. It does sound interesting.

I'm sure someone with more experience will have a better/more detailed explanation. HTH for now! :)

That is basically it Hun, you do the nail bed first, then apply your free edge colour, whether it is white or a colour.

I prefer to do the reverse application if i am extending the nail bed with a custom blend for instance when they are a nail biter and you need to make their nail bed look longer than it is to give a balanced look to the nail.

Some geeks prefer to do the reverse application all the time. It is personal preference Hun, you can do nails either way as long as you get the same result.

Ah I get it! I do gel though not L&P so it wouldn't really apply to me would it?

I don't think so... I've never heard of the reverse method for gels. :)

I have actually done a reverse method with gel when again, i want to extend the nail bed, then apply my white or tip colour.

The only difference being, that you then build over the whole nail with clear, which does depend on what make gel you use, but i use Gel It from EZ Flow, and this is the way we are taught.

Kind of the reverse method, but not quite the same as L&P.

Thats fantastic, i'm gonna get my nail trainer out and practice practice practice until i can do the reverse technique
