Todacusa sell good drill bits, pretty fast shipping too x

Wish I was ambidextrous because trying to draw these patterns on the other hand is a pain in the arse!
Whenever I have to do patterns or even stamping I do it on my nail mat! It's latex and so I put a layer of topcoat then do my designs, then topcoat again. Once it's completely dry it peels off with tweezers and I apply like a decal! These are a few things I've done using the mat; the first nude one was stamped, the second hand painted!

I've been using a sandwich bag that I've drawn some vague nail type shapes on!

Can I ask what top coat you used? I tried using seche vite, but it was so solid and inflexible when it dried, it was like trying to apply a pane of glass! I bought some clear nail polish today (not a top coat, just a clear polish) for my next attempt at decals - I read somewhere that it should be more flexible - but I'm really interested to hear what other people use.

PS Those nails are lovely!

I keep looking at the Moyou London mat, but I'd also need to invest in some regular nail polishes too, I used gel to draw mine, I'm assuming gel polish wouldn't work well with the mat method? x

:DThanks Cheeka, I don't often post photos of my nails on here as I don't feel they're anywhere near as good as they should be or like the standard I see on here!

To be honest, for these ones I just used Barry M's Plumpy top coat!! You need to make sure both the base layer and the top layer are thick enough to encase the design and to be able to be picked up with tweezers rather than flaking off.

Sara-Jane, I have the uberchic mat which works fine, although someone else brought out another one with little "wells" in that you can watermarble in so wish I'd stuck it out and brought that as every watermarble attempt so far has been a failure! I only just thought about whether you can use gel polish on the mat recently; I got into nails by doing nail art whilst struggling with insomnia so I have hundreds of normal polishes- but I think I might give it a go with gel as it's the only way to find out if it's possible!
