Hi

I'm very new to posting so excuse me if I make LOADS of mistakes! I'm in the process of qualifying to be a therapist (not long now!) and I've been trying to research products to use at home without laying out a fortune first. I've looked at Eve Taylor and also Agnetha Schultze and am currently looking at Neal's Yard Remedies, I have also spoken to them and it seems interesting but I just wondered if: anyone had used them as an at home therapist, if so did you sell a lot, did you go down the party route often, if you gave people a list of products that you used on them did you find that they bought them once they got home, or did you fill in the forms with them whilst they were there....

Also does anyone have any feedback on what Agnetha Schultze products are like? I do like the ethics behind them but wanted the feedback about the actual usage (same for Eve Taylor)

If you're not alseep by now....sorry for all the questions just trying to work out what to use and its a bit of a minefield out there!

thanks

oh good!! sorry to hijack your post but id be interested to know about neals yard as well. I really like their products, had a nosy on the website but thought it said youd need to place an order of at least £5000 a year with them! (i might have read it wrong tho, its very likely!)

Moor spa seems to be a popular choice with the mobile therapists on here!

i can only comment on Eve taylor myself and am not impressed, although they send you LOADS of samples, sometimes when i rang up to order products I felt like I was "putting them out" if you know what i mean, there is one person there who is quite abrupt and not overly helpful but the rest of the group are really nice.
i now only use them to by my aromatherapy from. I use Susan molyneux which is a nice product and has a fair sized range but i feel my salon has now outgrown it.
I hope that little bit of info was helpful, oh also the only bit of eve taylor retail I'd ever sell was the facial cleansing brush and sleep blend for aroma-diffusers even the samples have been difficult to give away (sorry guys but they have!)
molyneux start up order was about £300. give or take

I like Eve Taylor as a pamper range, but have to say I dont find them great for dealing with skin conditions. I also took on the Monu range by Susan Molyneux a couple of years ago. I thought the training was excellant, and I also liked the products, but they just kept putting the price up, (twice in the first 8 months I had them) and I felt frustrated with that!
I will be keeping the Eve Taylor products for my aromatherapy facials, and have just taken on Environ, which I am very excited about! I will run the two ranges x

Hi, My first post! I use Environ in my home based salon. It's a clever range, extremely diverse with results every time when used properly. Serious skincare!!
The opening order is £500, so very reasonable. However, the products are very active, so have a short shelf life - after your initial order, it might be an idea to only order stock when your clients need the product, especially if you're just building up your client base as you may find you have expired product on your hands.

Enjoy!

When I spoke to Neals Yard to become one of their 'consultants' as they have a new online Neals Yard Organic remedies part of the business the initial start up is £95 which gives you a link on their site to your website - It all sounds good, but apparently one of the team leaders for my area will call me with more information as I think you make more profit etc if you do Neals Yard parties....I called Monday so will let you know if and when they call but if you're interested there new website is Neal's Yard Remedies - Organic skin care | Natural remedies | Neal's Yard Remedies and there is a button on the bottom about becoming a consultant...

I use Swissdermyl to very good effect. It is a very comprehensive range with products to treat every skin condition, from oily, acneic skin, to dry, fragile skin, and everything in between!
My clients love it, it retails well and it's easy to use. Your clients won't find it on the high street, on eBay or on QVC so you won't lose sales to them.
The UK distributor is Andy Wingham and what he doesn't know about skincare and the Swissdermyl range isn't worth knowing. He can be contacted on 01455 891785.

There is no minimum order, either at the startup or at any time in the future.

No problems will let you know - I'm in the same position, like the products, but dont like the idea of having parties on a regular basis. Thanks for the Swissdermyl info Lynda I shall give them a call :p

Just a note about Neal's Yard. They promote themselves as Organic but actually their products are only partly organic, unlike Spiezia Organics which is 100% organic.
Neom is the same - it's only partly organic. Moot point? Not for your clients with stringent morals or very sensitive skins!

I was quite interested in Neals Yard after I saw an interview with Jo Wood and she raved about them, also they get a lot of good press and cosmopolitan magazine are always promoting them. I kept meaning to try some products as they have a store about 15miles away then when I picked up the latest copy of Cosmo they had a free Neals Yard face cream included

I was very excited until I tried the product, Its supposed to be anti ageing and apart from not liking the smell I felt the cream was poor quality, felt very cheap. I have been using it on my neck and can honestly say it feels like ive used nothing at all. Not a fan. I know Ive only tried the one product but it certainly doesn't inspire me to try anymore !
