hi,
I made my mind up and decided to do spray tanning course and introduce it in my boyfriends tanning salone. Is any one can give me idea where i can do the course.? I'm also ready to buy a good machine and all equipment. one more question. Which solution is the best to use? St Tropez, Fake Bake, Sienna x, or others.
Many thanks for your answers,

xxxx:confused:

its not an easy question to answer, if you asked 10 people you'd probably get 10 different answers because everyone has their favorites. From my experience Sienna and Tantrick are both lovely solutions but Tantrick seem to have the edge where training is concerned.... have heard a few negative things about Siennas training lately but didnt train with them myself, I originally trained with Tantrick...

Try doing a search on here and you'll get some idea

Tantrick is very good, it has five different solutions so you can match perfectly the solution to your clients skin type and a new one is due out very soon,
I'm not sure who the trainer is for your area but you can give the head office a call and they will put you in touch with your nearest trainer, the number is 0800 169 5801 hth

If working in a salon environment and you are expecting to be busy throughout the day and not wanting anything noisy i would think you should be looking at a compressor machine.
I also trained and use and am very happy with Tantrick using a t100/200 turbine, so fairly low volume use but light and mobile.Having said that it copes very well with 5 in a row which is the most i have done in one go it could well cope with more i don't know.
As to what company to go with thats up to you to do your own research,on here and on other sites.
Ive personally tried most other popular solutions and been pleased with a good few but looking at my business as a whole ,Tantrick is who will have my continued support because of excellent customer service.

Hi and welcome to salon geek.

The type of machine to choose does depend on many factors not lease budget, volume of tans anticipated ,will you be salon based/mobile or a combination, noise etc etc.

As a good entry machine it would be fair to say that the T200 is probably the ideal machine as it realy does tick all the boxes and has proven to be a robust machine.....probably the backbone machine of this sector.

Many spraytan brands use this machine and very few are returned as faulty or have ongoing problems..assuming the machine and especially the gun are regularly maintained and cleaned.

In terms of which solution is best...well quiet frankly spraytan solutions have come on and developed such a long way and realy all of them do a grand job.
It realy is a case of finding the one that suits you specifically and one that you and your customers can tap into the brand identity.

On training..well go with a company with a good reputation and one that offers one to one training rather than mass classroom training even if that means you spend that little bit more..the correct training will pay dividends in the longer term.

Make sure you train with a company that can offer certification for insurance purposes as you will need this if spraytaning the paying general public.

Also look for customer service issues..what reputation does the company you are looking at have on this front as this is very important to the ongoing support you will get once your buisness is up and running.

So realy you should consider all these fronts when making up your mind.

Good luck with your hunt for a suitable buisness partner/supplier

Hi

I've just put spray tanning in my salon. I was going to go with fakebake, but the set up costs were way too much. Instead, I trained with Sun Laboratories at NSI, I have to say, I really like it. I've had a sun junkiie tan, a sienna x and sudo fake tan before and I didn't like them.

The machine I bought is the shadez machine, you can get it from their website. My friend came through to my salon last week and she has just bought the Fake Bake machine. She said that my machine was exactly the same as hers, except hers says fake bake whereas mine says shadez, o h, and mine was a third of the price!

I think the guys from shadez are on here. They were really really helpful too.

xx

The machines do come in two parts both as important as the other ie both the machine and the spray gun need to be good quality.Im not sure how much the same original spraygun is for the t200 but there are varying prices for guns and with the egg/pig machines i have seen lots of different guns attatched which may be what varies the price so much with this particular make.

I originally trained with Couture & have recently changed to Tantrick.

Tantrick ticked all the boxes for me, better solution, better products, better customer service ... wish I had seen it sooner!

Dont make a choice on a training course based on the locality, as its closer to you, as I did & it wasnt better!!, & try as many solutions/companies as you can!

thanks for all answer,
As i can see tantrick is the best choice.
thanks, i'll try it
