Hi,

As long as your client only goes on the sun bed as long as advised by the salon/ manufacturer, she does not actually need to use cream. The whole point of sun beds is that you only go on for long enough to stimulate your melalin, ie the process of getting brown, but not enough to burn.

Indoor sun bed creams are available with moisturisers and acceleraters but they don't have a sun screen in, as they are not required. Please make sure your client does not use outdoor sun tan creams with indoor sunbeds.

I would suggest that your client goes to a reputable tanning salon for advise and to purchase any tanning products.

Absolutley spot on advise

Although the sun bed creams do not offer a SFP which would defeat the purpose of using the sun bed they do moisturise the skin and this prevents the burn as long as the client only goes on the sun bed for the required time for her skin type,
it usually says on the bottles what they are for, she needs one from the phase/stage 1 group that helps to build a base colour, then if she wanted she can move onto stage 2 which enables a deeper tan,
but tell her to avoid the tingle ranges as these would be too hot and intense for her skin type, hth

Thanks alot ill pass the info on xx

If you offer anti-aging facials my advise would be for you to tell her to avoid sunbeds all together and go down the fake tan route, otherwise you will be contradicting yourself, as the most important skincare advise anyone can be given is to keep out of intense UV and to protect the skin daily as UVA is the main cause of premature aging.
