Which way up do you do nail art?

Morning all


When doing nail art, for example painting piccies or flowers (pictures rather than just designs), which way up do you paint them on the nail? Do you do them do it's the correct way up from the clients perspective, or so that it's the right way up when other people look at them? Or do you just ask the client first what they want?

thats the way i do it too.

i also make each hand a mirror image of the other so that the pattern is not the same way round on all 10 fingers. i once had a lady tell me i did it wrong because her usual tec didnt do it that way, but i know that i am correct.
