White Blonde Root Problem

Hello, I'm new to this so i apologize if ive posted in the wrong bit.

I recently went from a very dark brown almost black to blonde, it took along time and care but im finally blonde, well white blonde infact.
I'm now just having trouble getting my freshly dyed roots the same colour as the rest of my now white hair.
i used Majirel 900s with 12 % peroxide bleach this brought up my roots from the orginal colour to a blonde, i did use a a "la fiche directions" white toner which lifted the colour alot, but still not enough to match the rest of the hair.
I purchased a schwarzkopf silver shampoo which again has lifted the colour a tiny bit but not enough.
A woman in sallys suggested i got Po1 luo toner, but before i purchase anything else i wondered weather anyone had any ideas.

If the rest of your hair is white blonde, a high lift tint is not going to lift it as light, and with the best toners in the world you will have a yellow band. All those toners will simply make the ends look even whiter.
You either need to bleach the root area white to match or tone the ends down a little more golden to match it all up.

You have not filled in your profile to show your qualifications - so other trained professionals on this site will assume you are untrained & doing a bit of DIY at home. This is a forum for professional hairdressers, nail technicians & beauty therapists to help & advice each other. Unfortunately, they will not give advice to untrained people on the query you are asking & suggest you visit a salon.

This being the case, you are unlikely to get any professional to give you any advice other than to go to your hairdresser and have the problem sorted out professionally.

If you are trained, then please fill in your details, so that other professsional hairdressers can help you.

when signing up for this site that i came across ( while google problems with white hair i came across this site) it stated i did not have to be a hairdresser or in the beauty business to post, however i might have posted into the wrong section of threads ( my mistake ).

However "persianista" has kindly given me a reply which is helpful but unfortunatly won't solve the problem, i have purchased PO1 luo tone today which should lift just the root area enough to blend with the rest.

I appreicate your reply, but i see fourms as a way of helping other people who are having problems weather they be hairdressers or not.

I am however qualifed in photographic makeup and photography, and thought people in the fellow business would be helpful, quiet clearly some people ruin that for others.

hi , its more that we can give general advice , not specific advice because there are so many variables that can affect results and things that we have to consider are orange ,green or grey hair ,scalp burns , condition of hair , allergic reactions etc.. and we cant see your hair , so it may be that you are a perfectly responsable person that would never would put ,say the luo ash on the ends of your hair , but if we say , yeah great use that , and you put it on all over and it comes up grey because the hair is damaged(which we cant see) , well you would blame us right ?

No, because i am asking for ADVICE not for someone to tell me exactly what to do to my hair, if i wanted that i would go direct to a hair dressers i am just asking for imput as to what might work well.
I have just finished using the Luo colour and it has brought it up very nice, and yes i am not stupid enough to put what could possibly turn my hair purple onto my hair that is already white.

I think everyone is just trying to help you.

But my advice on it is nothing will "lift" you high lift tint other than bleach, the toners etc will help take away the golden colour but the only way you will get it lighter will be to bleach it slightly (which I would suggest you get a hairdresser to do for you )

But I'm glad the toner you've just used has helped mask the difference between the colour. It will hopefully now be fine until you next need to visit your hairdresser.

Noone means bad by what they are saying, they just mean they don't want to advise you or something and if it went wrong, it would be on our heads, so to speak. Good luck with your hair!!!
