Not sure sounds OK, but thought I would answer the thread to bring it back up.

Does say that it removes strong smells

Might get one and see,

can always use it as an air purifier/ioniser if it doesnt do the job

Hiya,

I don't think so. I've just looked up in Doug Schoons book - pages 144-147 if you have it.

If not, in summary:
True air purifiers are incredibily expensive and it's impossible to purify the air in a salon.
HEPA filter good for capturing dust but is ineffective against vapours, however, it's not as effective at removing dust from your breathing zone (where it matters most) as a dust mask (which is also a lot cheaper option!).
Ionisers work by making dust particles clump together, so they then fall from the air, it doesn't remove dust, just makes it 'heavier' so it still sits on surfaces.

Think you'd be better off wearing a mask and following procedures to reduce vapours (keeping lids on, using matal bin with lid, use covered dappen dish etc.).

I use an Emendee table. The filter is built into the table top connected to a fan. No dust, no fumes. It's been a valuable investment actually. :lick:
