I have tried the Illusion system a while back and wasn't happy, the colours are nice enough but when doing french it went yellow after about a week, also like Poohbear said, it wasn't easy to soak off! I now use Shellac (similar to Gelish) and havent touched my NSI Illusion gels since!

hiya, by geleration do you mean Gelish? I think it's just a matter of personal preference, you'll have people who love and swear by Shellac just as you have people who love Gelish..... There are loads of threads on this forum so do a search and you'll find loads of info on both, also worth...

Yes I use an old acrylic brush wiped on a cotton pad soaked with D-sperse, seems to work fine. x

Hiya, I charge £25 for hollywood toes, and the same for glitter. Will probably charge the same for Shellac, as all of them take the same sort ot time. Haven't done acrylic on toes yet, gel's easier i think :) x

Hi ya, it could be that your brush is contaminated with old product....try dipping your brush in clean monomer and then wipe on kitchen towel...if it leaves yellow streaks it is contaminated and you'll either have to try clean it or get a new brush. HOpe this helps, the only other thing I know...

This has happened to me when I used Glaze and go over the top - i was later advised not to as this too can cause the hairline cracks... x

Hi, I've tried this - just put a layer of finishing gel over the minx, tbh it didn't make it last any longer as the gel started peeling off after about 3 days. Clear nail varnish would probably be much better, if you really want to put something over your minx but I don't think it needs it.

Just to add to what Sheila has said - the Essential nails certificate isn't recognised by some other companies such as CND, so therefore if you'd like to train/do a conversion with someone else, you're most likely going to have to do a foundation course again like I did. :)
