I'm not so bothered as to the brand, but simply if you are doing IPL could you tell me if it is making money?
I'm a very busy electrologist/skincare therapist and thought it might complement my current treatments very well.
Trying to get an overall feel of how it's performing at the moment...
Thanks PinkThistle. I already do lots of electrolysis and non-laser tattoo removal. I did train in SPMU 8 years ago, but took a lot of time out and recently did a refresher. I then realised how much I didn't really feel it was my 'thing' (and it's not cheap to just dabble in with pigments and...
Hi
I know it's like comparing apples and oranges - they're both fruit but totally different... However, if wanting to add an advanced treatment which - in your EXPERIENCE - is the better earner? And which costs less to maintain (i.e. products needed). Not bothered about initial cost of...
Thought it would be fun to find this out! If Judy Dench and Maggie Smith are our Grand Dames of Film and Theatre, who would be our Grand Dames of Beauty? (Allowed to be alive or dead...). And why would you pick them?
I'll start off with Coco Chanel - amazingly cool and stylish. Head of a...
That's way too high for this part of the world. And I'm not being a cheapskate NFN person! Definitely - unless you're in a primary retail location (e.g. near Chapelfield etc) AND get a reception service.
Also, if the location (say within a clinic) provides excellent potential clients and...
Hi. Has anyone taken their business premises out on a Licence base, instead of a Lease?
I know it's far less expensive and that both have their pros and cons but I'd like to hear from anyone who has a Licence on their property and if it's been a good idea. Would help me immensely! Thanks
You could try offering some voluntary work at local care homes. Hand massage is very welcome I believe. Not all old folks are ga ga - so even a talk about your career might be welcome. I know of a therapist who teaches hand massage particularly to care workers - so there is obviously a demand...
It's not that she wants to do this as quickly as possible. It's the fact that she would even consider using the NHS to train with the SOLE intention of being a Botox provider. I couldn't give a toot otherwise as it's not my thang!
I appreciate that IF you are already trained then adding...
If you've just qualified - either level 2 or 3 - my personal advice is to try and work with a salon that has a good reputation and uses a range of products that are recognisable and which offer on-going training themselves.
Nothing like continuing your education and learning from those around...
I saw the post below on another forum. Makes me enraged that someone could think of using the NHS - OUR NHS and its precious resources - to train in something 'they would love to do'. But guess what? It's not the nursing.
"Hi all, looking for some advice.
I am really interested in training...
We moved back to our home county last summer and are now renting a lovely house. The owners are abroad and not coming back for a long time, unless their circumstances change. We first rented a barn conversion which was beautiful but way out of town. Renting has allowed us to change our minds...
Hi
I've just received an interesting e-brochure about Juliette Armand skin care. It looks like the kind of range I might work with, but I'd like to know if any geeks out there have used it or heard of it?
I have a feeling there's some users up in Scotland....
Thanks
If you're talking about College of West Anglia, it looks like they do the usual NVQ routes (awards and diplomas). I don't think the FE colleges would take CIDESCO (thought I might be wrong) as it's not the least expensive to do (as you will know, Lores).
There IS a CIDESCO college in Sawston...
Thanks ladies. Even from the dearth of replies, I get the feeling we are an under represented part of the country. More sugar beet than people - and similar for the south west (my cousins are near Tor Point)....
Perhaps we should have a little East Anglian (and Norfolk specifically for the...
The devil is in the detail. As any fule no, you should READ THE SMALL PRINT. e.g for most of my treatments I have to keep the client info for five years - but for permanent make up it's seven.. Now, not a lot of people know that.. and it was in teeny tiny print....
Where are we going for our...
Yes. Virtues, you are missing the point. I'm not categorically stating that Level 2's are inept and I'm certainly not saying that needling etc shouldn't be taught through a company. That's exactly how I learned mine. BUT as a RULE OF THUMB alone - there is a majority of learners (let's call...
So, that's you and me so far, Persianista!!! There's a good half a dozen other names who should be throwing their hats into the ring too!!
I'm thinking a nice country hotel for a good venue.... (which would obviously mean an overnight stay...)
