I've used this on my level 3 hairdressing course, can anyone recommend

I've used a Wella Contura small trimmer, on my Level 3 Hairdressing Course. Can anyone recommend another small trimmer that is as good, but cheaper... I've looked around at the prices and its no wonder I liked it, as they are pretty darn expensive. lol

    Charge for accent finger?

I wouldn't charge for a different colour on one nail, but if any art is involved then yes I charge from 25p / 50p upto £1 a nail (more if its a feather with a lot of other details etc) All depends on the time taken..

Can someone please explain how I use this?

You have to use special polishes! Although 4 of 'The Special' pokishes from Barry M work. Do not go buying their regular polishes though, as they wouldn't work! (Barry M's special colours are Gold, silver, pink & lilac. Their pink though I dislike as it is pale)..

Is Gelish better than Shellac for problem nails?

I can't speak for Gelish, but Shellac was never designed for use on clients nails, that are weak, flakey or bendy. Thats why I use Bio Sculpture Gel, as it has been designed to suit all nail types. Whats more Bio is the Original everlasting manicure, which was formulated over 25 years ago, and...

    Allergic reactions soak-off gel

CND have a hypogeneic product, but to be fair your better off learning to work more 'cleanly'. My face too will react if I rub my face if I've had gels / removers etc on my face.. I just ensure I wear gloves & do not rub my face until they have been washed...

    White patches

Her nails are dehydrated. She needs to use nail oil something like Solar Oil. All clients should be recommended to use an oil because that is part of the needs whilst having their nails done. (Much like a lady having a colour on their hair, the hair needs conditioning too - nail are exactly the...

How to recreate these using Shellac?

If you want to do a rose, then using a dotting tool (or the end of a cocktail stick) make a circle 1cm /1.5 cm wide, then cure. Once cured with a fine brush, do a letter S on the top in a different colour, add a couple of 'C' 's around the rest of the outer circle to create a Rose design ...

How to recreate these using Shellac?

I wouldnt class them as one stroke art.. They are more like Shellac splodged into a zone & a thin art brush dragged through the white back into the pink. If I was you I would literally have a play on a piece of clear plastic (A4 page plastic cover is great)... You can actually cure things that...
