Hi All,

Some of you are aware that i'm completey new to Nail Tech and i'm becoming more Geeky by the hour, lol. I'm totally obsessed with Nails, lol.

Anyway, I am going to the show at the NEC next Sunday and was just wondering as i've NEVER been to one of these before, if there is any advice you can offer me which will help me to get the very best out of my day.

Also, I am not sure if I have dreamt this or not but am I correct in thinking (i'm sure i've seen it somewhere, but can't remember where :o) that CND are doing a show in Sept/Oct this year down in Bournemouth?

Thanks all.

I don't know about the CND show but for the show next weekend you need to wear something comfortable with comfortable shoes as you are on your feet all day. Take a bag if you intend making purchases, some girls take those shopping trolley things old dears use.

Have a look at the exhibitors list and make a note of who you really want to see and where they are. If you don't do this you may miss someone or forget about someone you want to see.

Be prepared for a crush at the most popular stands, mainly nails to be honest. Can be a bit of a pain to be honest. I try to get there early and make straight for who I want to see the most.

Don't expect too many freebies or goody bags, in my experience they don't give much away. You do get discounts on products though so it is worthwhile waiting to order or buy from the shows.

I hope you have a good day there and find it useful. :D

I second the sensible shoes advice! If I know I'm going to be buying quite a bit (which I usually do!) then I take a holdall on wheels - you know the ones you take on holiday with a long handle.

You may also want to take something in with you for lunch as the food and drink tends to be very pricey at these venues x

Bless you both. Thank you so much.

Are the prices much lower than what you would normally buy?

Many of the exhibitors do offer special "show discounts" - so it's probably best asking if there's something that particularly interests you on a stand...

The usual would be 10-15% but sometimes a bit more. :D

I agree with sensible shoes and I would prepare yourself for a big spending day. Its all so pretty lol and if you are anything like me you will go looking for something specific and come back with lots of little things you didnt know you needed. The main thing to do is ENJOY the experience

Shoes like every one else said , money lol . Also if theres things that are big to carry most stands will A) look after it with your name on till you are finished or B) post it to you at a small charge if you ask nicely :) (this is what I did when I went to excel and when I finaly went back to the salon most things wear there before me lol! Pick your day to as the first day (normaly a Sunday is sort of aimed at the salon owners/employees and the Monday is normaly more collages,)
If there is any master classes/talks that you would like to see set the reminder on your phone the night before as shows remind me of Las Vegas , the time feels like its standing still but its flying by really.......... And before you know it you have missed everything!
