Advice on spray tan companys pls

hi geeks,
i have been a qualified spray tanner for a few months now and still trying to find a product that i like. Yet to find one. :cry: I have tried Siena x, fake bake and the not so great tan trick. I found tan trick and fake bakes colors didn’t last longer than 3/4 days. The customer service was terrible, the lady on the phone didn’t sound like she was interested and wasn’t very helpful! Im not a cheap skate but is there any company’s out there that do not have premium rate numbers?? as these are not the best to call from your mobi.
Im looking for a company who has a great range of colors, to suit various skin tones also that are guaranteed to last more than 3/4 days on the client. any help in this, would be much appreciated x

Sorry to hear comments about Tantrick. I use both Tantrick and Sienna X and my clients love them.

Tantrick offer a great range of colours and some of my clients get almost two weeks out of their tan. I have always found their customer service to be fantastic.

Hope you find one that you suits your requirements. It mind boggling the amount of different solutions that are out there.

i dont know a great lot but i use sienna x which you said you tried
they do have lots of different tan shades/colour
and i use their worcester based number 01905 27070 not the 08 one so should be free

tantrick have a great rep on here for their tan and customer service, there very helpful, but there are loads of brands out there what bout suntana or vani-t or bronze express, and there is a new one on the threads here at the moment called unreal that is getting good press

hi i can't comment on tanrick for how long it lasts coz i havn't been sprayed with it yet, but a lot of people give it good reviews on here, as for customer service i have found tantrick the most helpful (as im looking to train with them) and the owner is always on here to give advice you should speak to them again or if not you can find him on here hes name is collin and i know there number is not a premium rate one, i do have it if you want it pm me and il give it to you

Beaubronz bronz forever is designed to last for 12 days. Most other products will last 5-7 days. alot of it isnt poor products but poor care. You wouldnt buy a top from a high street designer and stick it on a hot wash you would treat it with care and a tan is no different!

The length of time a solution lasts on the client is down to your client.

The reason companies sell retail is to enhance the life of the tan. Your clients should use an exfoliator designed for using pre tan, they should wait as long as possible before there first shower, moisturise once a day using a moisturiser free from oils and a tan extender in the evening to top up there tan. They should avoid certain shower gels or soaking in the tub.

The rule of thumb is: If the client showers before the tan has been on 6 hours the tan will last 2/3 days, 6-8 hours 3/4 days and over 9 hours upto 5 days.

If they leave it 8 hours before there first shower and not moisturise a tan will last 3/4 days, if the moisturise once a day 4/5 days and twice a day 5-7 days.

If they alternate there moisturiser once a day with a tan extender this shouls help the tan last up to ten days.

Myself and my clients get 7 to 10 days from tantrick.
The customer service was terrible, the lady on the phone didn’t sound like she was interested and wasn’t very helpful!
Tantrick people bend over backwards to help, offer lots of advise for free and samples for free, marketing products for free,
never heard anyone have a bad response on the phone lines before, it is the company owners who answer the phones.

are you sure it was tantrick that you dealt with and not someone pretending to be them because i have never known of any problems with this company.

aww thats not good about tantrick and siena. Definatly shop around you will find one that suits you. I use LA TANNING there solutions are lovely,it lasts for 7-12 days.. They have a great range of shades. i use the LA TAN NUM 8 and LA GOLD on my fair clients and LA TAN NUM 10 AND 12 on my medium skin tone clients. They also have a LA DISCO which is 18% if u have clients that want to be darker. There customer service is second to none, they are so helpful and treat u like a individual. I spk to Daniel or Sue. You mentioned about premium numbers, there number is a 0161 which helps.
Definatly request a sample, youl love it. There on buy 1 get 1 free on the LTRS and Gallons to!! Gud luck hun x

I'll second beauty123 on LA Tan. I have sampled lots and lots of different solutions and i now stock LA Tan and Nouvatan. Nouvatan is extremely popular with my clients.
You really have to try lots of samples and decide which one works for you.
I stocked Fake Bake and i too found that it doesn't last as long as others. I'm also not a fan of St.Tropez or Tantrick. They are 3 popular ones but they didn't work for me. Have to say though that it's hard to believe about the customer service with Tantrick. I may not like their solution but their customer service is excellent.
When i sample any solution, i purposely don't exfoliate before and don't moisturise after either. I like a solution to last a good few days even without doing anything-as we all know some clients don't follow the after care advice
I'm happy with my 2 solutions as i know they will last a good 5 days or longer even without any moisturising.

Although I am not a skin geek or a spray tanner, can I just say I have had some dealings with Collin at Tantrick and found him to be most helpful.
As far as customer service goes I have absolutely no complaints.
I consider myself quite a shrewd cookie, working on the theory that you can't kid a kidder, and Collin passed with flying colours, and I am sure Britta is at least one step ahead of him lol:lol:

why dont you give them a buzz a spraytansupermarket.com? i use A-Tan from there and find it class, of all the tans I tried clients love it, has great range of tones and good value on the multi-packs and customer service EXCELLENT, every single time I have rang straight through and dealt with professionally and pleasantly even when I had to torture them with my 1000's questions lol. You are right to keep searching untill you find a company and product that works for you. I also tried some of the brands that are very popular on here and I also found that either I didn't like the solution or the customer service was poor, this tan and company works for me and maybe worth giving a go?
