:)hi all thinking of doing a spray tan party soon, just waiting for this awful weather to inprove as i find it as affected my business i find ,don,t know what every one else thinks? anyway what i wanted to know is when i do my tanning party how do you get around clients paying for they,re tan , do you ask just before they have it or after it :irked: as if there few people there all chatting ect its easy to forget to pay, i want every one to have a good night want them to relax just find it a bit akward. any advice would be great. sian

Hi hun :)

Just a thought but why don't you ask them if they would all like to pay before the party gets underway, so then you don't have to bother them once it's been done and they can go back to their drinks and chat?

Also, turn the weather to your advantage (as well as the credit crunch). I have a poster in my window with words to the effect of

'not going on holiday this year?
then why not cheer yourself up by having a sunless spray tan.

(you can insert an offer here if you wish)

Get the holiday look without the hefty price tag!'

or

'Enjoying our fabulous British 'summer'

(then word as above)
I hope this helps you sweetie :)

Hiya

I did one for my friends a little while ago, it can be awkward asking for the money I suppose. What I did was give everyone the price beforehand (as it was friends I did each for £10!), then made a list of who was coming and left it in the lounge with the drinks nibbles and a pot for them to put their money in, then just asked them to tick their name off the list as they paid.

I assumed that then if anyone didn't pay then I would know who it was, but no one did forget - maybe because I placed the pot next to the wine and food!!! Also, I think the fact that it was a nice round amount made it easier, as if they are scrabbling around for change they might wait for others to put money in to get change and therefore forget.

HTH.

I either take it one at a time or in one lump at the end? I dont mind how they pay as long as I get it! :green:

Why are you embarrassed about asking them for the money? they surely know how much it will be before they ask you to do the tan? Just smile and tell them that will be X amount, thank you and smile sweetly lol

as i,ve not done a tanning party just wondered what other do when it comes to paying, as bit different when i have one client, but will be ok now got few ideas.:) thanks guys.

I hand them a receipt at the end and say "how would you like to pay, cash or cheque?"

:) that good idea simple but affective, thats what i,ll do. thanks never thought of that lol:lol:

Sometimes the host will collect it for you and pay you before or after the tans, that way you dont have to ask every single client for the money and you can give the host her goody or whatever is agreed :)

Hi
As mentioned already

I give the client who has booked the party a complete price for the party when she gives me the def number of people that are attending and then collect it at the end so that there is no messing as the client has collected all her friend money beforehand.
