Just wondered from any of you that has done the training and using airbase make up what you think of it?

Many thanks

Hiya,

I'm doing the training on 22nd August in London but have been to the local Airbase Tour and it's really impressive. My kit arrived yesterday so I had a little play last night but I was struggling to set up the airbrush correctly but I guess that the training will cover all that plus a lot of practice!

There is an awful lot of chatter in the www about it at the moment with a tutorial on Fashionface.tv, an audio interview on Woodbridge Productions and I think that they use it at the Jemma Kidd Academy. It seems that it's being very well received so I can't wait for the training so I can use it PROPERLY!

Hi

I did it in May and I LOVE it, Brides love it and choose it over any other foundation I have, the training is fantastic I trained in nottingham and once you know how to set up your gun and get used to using the gun its very easy - it also looks impressive to clients and the qualities of the make up and the effects are fab..

Tams xx

I am looking to take this on board - saw it in action and had a demo in Birmingham beauty show, but wasn't in a position to buy it. I have to admit once I had the foundation on I kept it on all day and then went to bed in it (just for research!!!) - I woke up with a flawless made-up face! It's amazing! I want to introduce it for bridal make-up - would thoroughly recommend it

My daughter and i had it done for her wedding it lasted all day and omg made me look so much younger lol..xx

One of the therapists at the spa I work uses Airbase (she trained with Jemma Kidd) & it looks amazing. She also gets a lot of repeat bookings for make-up from people that have seen other clients. hth's

does it work well with any skin type? the only online demos i can see are on young fresh faced girls

xx

She gets great finishes on all ages/skin types so am sure you will love it x

Sorry if this is a stupid question but is Airbase makeup different to Airbrush make up?

Jackie

Thanks Weezie for explaining the difference for me.

I am looking into doing a make up course and wanted to venture in airbrush make up but I love the sound of Air base, is this a new technique?

question for those that offer airbase for bridal work ..
do you offer airbase as well as traditional foundation?
can i ask how much extra you charge compared to tradition brush application?
many thanks x

I have just made a rash decision and paid for the kit and the course on the 22nd August!

Cool, see you there!

Hi Ladies

Are you doing the course in London as I am so tempted to do it myself....

I would also be interested if anyone that already using this technique on brides as to whether you charge more than normal make up application...

I just rang a local salon that offers Airbase make up but when speaking to them they said that they don't use the airbrush to apply the make up as it doesn't blend very well, so they always apply the make up by hand.

Does anyone know if this is quite common with airbrush make up....

Now not so sure whether to do the training or not...

That sounds a bit pointless, might as well just buy the foundation.
If i were you i would wait until Olympia. Airbase will be there then you can see it applied for yourself.

The foundation is silicon based so it is workable and can be applied by hand, sponge brusg but tbh there is little benefit to these methods of application.

I can only imagine the salon that does it this way finds spraying it through - a bit of a pain.

The airbrush does need cleaning after and can get clogged. But to me its def worth the effort.

Thanks Pazzy, I think I am going to try another local salon and get a trial done. I do wonder whether they have actually had the right training or the patience to carry out the make up properly especially after hearing such good things about it..

Hi just wondered, do you have to have an NVQ or company certificate to train with Airbase, or will they, can they teach a complete novice?
If anyone knows could they pm me the answer as I sometimes miss the reply on the threads. Thank you

Please make sure you see a demo of this make up and wear it in broad daylight before deciding on whether it will work for you.

Have been thinking of introducing this into the salon for a while and have had some very good feedback about it from some clients that have already had it. I am going on training for this on 18th October in Edinburgh, will let you know how it goes
