Hi all I see quite alot of Nail biters and pretty much always natural tip with overlay acrylic or gel in natural pink. I want to try to lengthen the nail bed to make them look nicer with a sculpt. I have tried acrylic but need to get my mix right yet to offer to paying clients. i have tried the NSI body build cover pink but find it is still a bit too see through on me as i have such short nail beds and very white natural tips.

I was going to try the Akzentz warm opaque pink as a base and layer it with my nis gel? Do you think this would be ok??

Akzentz coverage gel warm is lovely....and does cover but not in thin layers...you would use it to build with and then it covers perfectly.

For this reason i would say there wouldn't be any point using it along with your NSI...your enhancement process would be complete (nail bed) so there wouldn't be any need for another layer of gel.

If you wanted to give the Akzentz coverage gel a try i would recommend getting the Akzentz primer (Affixit) and a small pot of the Akzentz bonding gel.

Using the complete range is best as you know that you are getting the best from the product.

You could still sandwich your NSI white gel for a french look.....and even still use your NSI topgloss....but for your bonding and building i would stick to the same brand.

Thanks for your quick reply. i must add that your work is amazing and would love to produce quality nails like that!

I am thinking about mixing an orange into the NSI gel to tone down the pink?? Do you have any other tips i could use to tone the pink down?? I will then try to opply it thicker to try to cover better.

Thank you ...

I really clever trick i picked up from this very site for fantastic coverage on a nail biter is using a very thin layer of soft white gel over the nail..(after your base gel)..then use your coverage gels.

i agree with angie (bagpuss) the akzentz warm coverage is a nice colour and more natural looking however i have tried using the akzentz and i dont quite get the coverage i want (see my album pics) i do though manage to get better coverage from the nsi body builder cover pink,i tried the akzentz cool coverage pink and the nsi body builder cover pink on clear tips to compare and did find the akzentz was slightly more transparent than the nsi cover pink.
ive never tried angies idea of using a soft white so this may really help.
when i tried akzentz i applied my nsi primer then my bonder layer using nsi then used akzentz to build the nail and applied my brush on white and glaze n go in the normal manner and i had no problems doing my nails like this for months.
p.s i have heard that nsi are bringing out a warm cover pink in the next month or so.hth.x

Thanks Tracey for your reply, I must alos say your work is brilliant and I really want to try your deep french with extended nail bed on a biter but not had the guts to give it a go. May get the nail trainer out and have a crack at that! Did you use a form under so that the gel would not seep through or touch the clients skin if they are a nail biter? Thanks agian becci xxxx

Yes, our Body Builder Cover Pink Warm should be shipping in the US at the end of the month. If you're in the UK, it should probably be there in Sept/Oct.
