Akzentz Gels

Hi all,

Would it be possible to mix Akzentz Ultra White Paint On with a white glitter to add a bit of sparkle? I normally mix my glitters with clear gels but I'm looking for a really sparkly white look, and I love the Ultra White.

Any help would be appreciated :smack:

Why don't you do a trial nail tip and experiment and see? I can't tell you whether it will or it wont when I can't see the glitter you are using. Put some on a tip, cure, buff and have a look and then you will be sure.

the density of the white colour will cover the glitter up i think if you mix it in.
maybe you should apply the white and then press a bit of glitter onto it before you cure. this way more of it will stay on the surface of the white gel and be visible.
or cure the white and then put some glitter with a clear base on top of it.

this is exactly right.
i tried this using my nsi brush on white gel and the glitter just didnt show enough through the white so you will be better off applying it the way is mentioned above as i dont think it will be glittery enough for you by mixing it.
why dont you try both methods as im sure you will decide not to mix it in but atleast then you can decide for yourself.xx

Spot on Susan and Tracy.
You will never get the same results mixing your glitter with white as you would with clear gel.Just apply your glitter over cured POW and seal with your top coat.

You won't get the effect you are looking for by mixing the glitter in the white.

We also mix glitters in with a clear gel.

Apply the white all over the nail and cure, then apply the glitter gel that is mixed with clear gel over it.

White gel with crystal white aurora glitter gel over it looks gorgeous !

You can do the same with a french tip.

Thanks everyone, I've tried it out and yes the glitter mixed in with the white was pretty useless, however I did exactly what Susan and Tracey recomended and the results were fantastic. Sorry Gina I hadnt read your post by the time I tried it but your idea sounds great also.
