Thats a lot to ask! Have you tried searching on Google for a mobile nail tech and seeing what comes up? i'm sure most people would have prices on their website?

if i were you i would do some research of prices in your area and go by them as you dont want to be to much cheaper or to expensive.x

Ok thanks sorry I did not mean to ask out of term....:)
Ill do a google search & see what comes up.

Hi jbelvers,
once you search google you will find that the prices will vary according to each mobile nail tech. Good luck with your search :)

Im in essex hun and the prices are sooo varied

Hi Michelle :)

What prices do you think are average please?
Are you mobile?
ive forgotton - brain like a siv

Im in essex too and I was wondering the same thing. I actually live about 3 doors away from a nail salon and I made a genuine enquiry because I am doing an EN course, I am not in college and don't get the opportunity to see other people doing acrylics. So I booked in to get my nails done.

£38.50 for a full set of acrylics
£27 for infills.

if I qualify, I want to operate from home as I have a big conservatory type room where I keep my chair and table etc....
I was thinking of charging roughly £20 for a full set only because I need to cover supply costs and time it takes. Is that too much for a newly qualified tech?

Yes im mobile hun the salons near me charge £35+ but theres a mobile tech ive seem advertised who only charges £15 4 a full set £7.50 infill!

Low prices de-value the whole industry. If you price yourself at £20 for a full set how will the salon explain why they charge £38.50? They will know that they have experience and many courses behind them and that they have staff and overheads but do you think that will wash with people who ring up to just enquire about prices? On the other hand, what about the clients who think 'if the salon charge £38.50 then charging £20 must mean she is rubbish'?

You are better off setting your prices realistically (so you make a profit which you wont at £20 per full set btw) and doing an introductory offer of sets for £20 for a limited time (and set the time limit up front).

Oh ok. I was only thinking that I couldn't charge as much as that because I don't have much experience. But I suppose Id better keep up with the trade that I have worked so hard to become.

Is it better to do a gel course as well or can you go mobile with just a diploma in acrylics? I was worried incase people start phoning and asking for other systems. I did a little research and acrylics seem to be more popular. I am going to have to do a maintenance course though first I think.

You're better off offering one system that you do well and adding in further systems down the line IMO. Also, you definitely need to understand maintenance because that is your bread and butter. Over 50% of my income comes from rebalancing, full sets alone are not enough to keep me in business.

wow that is low in price what that person is chargining £15 full set & £7.50 infills....

I think the more you can offer (good) the better cause if someone only wants UV Gel and you can not offer it they will go somewhere else or vice the versa...
You dont want to lose customers cause you can not offer the systems.
I do agree get 1 system fantastic before moving onto the next system though....:)
