Best place to buy photographs for promo material?

Where's the best place to buy photos for promo material? I'm totally new to this and am in the middle of putting together all my fliers etc..

Enter in "stock images" and whatever it is you are looking for (eg stock images nails) into google and it should bring up various sites that sell stock images.....the site mentioned in the post previously is pretty good....

stock.xchng - the leading free stock photography site

This is a "free" site, so don't expect miracles (as very little is free on the web these days!)

But if you're willing to have a root and think laterally, then there are a few gems on there.

Failing that, you can't go wrong with iStock as mentioned above.

That said, people often want to see your work- so if you have a digi camera, crank it up onto its highest setting and take some pics!......
